A Novotel in the middle of nowhere (but with a pool)

The hotel is located in the middle of an industrial park, hemmed in by a motorway and industrial units and there isn’t much else nearby. We used it as a base for Disneyland and Paris. It may work well if you are driving directly to Disneyland, but it is less convenient if you are relying on public transport. Unfortunately, there are no decent restaurants or shops within walking distance of the hotel. We took the RER A from Torcy into Disneyland, which was quick and easy, but required a 10-minute drive to the station for the free parking. The fare (€2.50) is probably the cheapest thing you’ll spend during a day at Disney. If you’re planning to use the RER-A to get to Disney, I would recommend choosing accommodation closer to Bussy-Saint-Georges (next stop on the line) where there is a choice of shops and restaurants. As for the hotel itself, it was a standard Novotel—comfortable, though not exceptional. There’s a small outdoor swimming pool and an enclosed terrace with plenty of seating. Breakfast was well stocked, even when busy there was always enough space to sit. Staff were very friendly, the rooms, pool and hotel in general were clean. Secure parking is available. The rooms were a bit small and there is limited choice of TV channels. Overall: A decent stay with friendly service and good facilities, but the location is very isolated. Best suited for guests with a car; if you’re planning to rely on the train, you’ll be better off staying closer to the RER line.

This is NOT a Novotel, this is a nightmare. Do yourself a favor: do not book this hotel. The staff are outrageously rude – not just unfriendly, but openly hostile. You’re looked at like dirt, snapped at as if you’re a burden, and from the very first minute you feel completely unwelcome. They literally stare you out of the hotel as if they can’t get rid of you fast enough. Disgraceful. The rooms are filthy: shabby, dirty, and depressing. The bathroom is disgusting, moldy, and makes you want to skip showering altogether. The so-called “breakfast” is a joke – tasteless scraps that wouldn’t even pass in a cheap roadside motel. That this place is allowed to carry the Novotel name is absurd. In reality, it’s nothing more than a grimy, rundown dump that wouldn’t even qualify as a 1-star hostel in some back alley. There are plenty of hotels closer to Disneyland that are cheaper, cleaner, and actually treat you like a guest. There is absolutely no reason to waste your money here. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Staying here will ruin your trip.

This hotel was a very comfortable stay overall. The beds and pillows were great, the room was spacious with a large window, and the air conditioning worked well. The rooms and bedding were clean, and we really appreciated the coffee/tea facilities, daily replenished coffee machine, and the in-room safe. The garden with swimming pool, lounge, and activities for all ages made the stay even better. The staff were friendly, and the 24-hour front desk was very convenient. Parking was ample and free of charge, and the location was close to the train station and supermarket. There was also a drinking water dispenser, and the large TV was a nice touch. The only drawback was the shower head, which wasn’t working properly and made showering a bit difficult. Otherwise, it was quiet at night and overall a great experience.

Ended up here as previous hotel had a power cut. Lovely hotel, friendly service. Very clean and lovely bar area. Room was comfortable and had a mini fridge. Nice and quiet and night, water refreshments at the end of each corridor which is handy.
