Truly Wonderful and Relaxing Holiday

This is our 2nd stay at the Pullman and both visits have been brilliant and happy experiences. The first visit was over Easter, when the weather was more predictable and HOT. This time, we had a smattering of showers but found the temperature to be very comfortable and the bit of rain didn’t stop us from doing anything, really! The staff have been so kind and efficient at every turn; we’ve really enjoyed the variety at Melange and the opportunity to eat at the other two restaurants- Souq Oven and Phat Cameleon. The dive center is totally BRILLIANT. The family were lucky enough to be able to dive with Valeska and her lovely team, once again and Valeska was the BEST at getting me back up to scratch after not having dived in years. The dive center is top-notch in terms of experience, quality of boats (one traditional and one modern), staff helpfulness and sites (especially if you’re lucky like us!) The family saw hundreds of sharks at the feeding station (lucky); gorgeous turtles, rays, a leopard shark, dolphins, eels, etc. Snorkelling is also a real treat on the reef, although takes a bit of effort to get there if in the beach villas; however, well worth the effort and very comprehensive. The island is a perfect size- great to walk or ride around and nice and spaced out. It’s a calm, relaxed island- guests tend to be polite and courteous, especially at Melange (buffet). Always a treat to watch the sunset at Saffron, especially while playing a game of pool/snooker. We’ve loved our stay and truly appreciate all of the staff that have assisted us, from Hassan, our attentive Villa host to our diligent housekeeper Sobuj- and every other member of staff that were always willing and able. The spa was a highlight too- two hot stone massages had us super relaxed and balanced; book early and enjoy the wonderful facilities and excellent therapists. We wouldn’t hesitate to return- it’s been an absolute delight.

Amazing hotel with a few downsides.

The hotel is amazing. You don’t have to do anything to have a beautiful time…you just need to sit in your spacious veranda and watch the crystal clear water, the December breeze gently blowing away your stress and the baby sharks, turtles and stingrays frolicking in the sea. Some of the staff were so good. Ned (who welcomed us at the airport and sent us off with such warmth) , Nimo aka Nimasha (Malange coffee and Sol Rising, her service was par excellence, so genuine), Moin (Sol Rising, he went out of his way to help us), Gede executive sou chef (he was so helpful and prepared a special dish to make us happy), Mazed (phad chameleon) Raju buggy driver/security. Ahmad F&B asst mgr Kamal waiter in malange. Dhanujan malange. Shanthi front office. Micca (Malange). Staff of the Hub should work on improving their attitude (no smiles). The singers from Sri Lanka were good. Food at Phad Chameleon was pathetic. They claim it is Asian food but the Malaysian dishes were an apology. Food at Malange and Souk Oven was good. The buggy takes a loooong time to arrive and the front office staff give lame excuses. They give drinks in the room mini bar but they should give some flexibility by allowing guests some choices at equivalent value. Everything is “by the rules” there and it can be annoying. Overall it was a wonderful experience. Such a beautiful place.

Great value all inclusive if you don't mind the time to get there

We stayed in July 2025 and I provided an overall positive review to Luxury Escapes when we returned. I have just returned from Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and am now better able to provide what I consider the main pros and cons of the Pullman based on my stay at the Banyan Tree. Pros: * All inclusive package through Luxury Escapes is exceptionally good value for a family. The kids loved that the mini bar was included. * overwater bungalows are spacious and private. * staff are great and what you expect from a 5 star experience Cons: * Getting there. There is no way to sugar coat how long the transfer time is from Male. However the seamless way they arrange your transfer by plane and boat and access to the lounge while waiting at the airport is a credit to them. * House reef isn't really accessible from the beach. You can get out there but it takes awhile. * Like most Maldives resorts the cost of excursions is overpriced - 600 USD for 4 of us to go 15 minutes by boat to snorkel is a bit much even though the coral and marine life were amazing. *The drinks service was painfully slow. On many occasions we had almost finished our meal by the time our drinks arrived. Could be going slow because it was all inclusive.

Very friendly staff. I was met at the plane and escorted all the way to the hotel. There was never a moment when I had to solve anything myself. I spent my waiting time in the lounge, where I could have a meal, take a shower, and relax. On my return, I was also accompanied all the way to the check-in counter for my flight. Very attentive and polite service. Huge thanks to the hotel for such amazing hospitality.
