Very average hotel. We paid for a significantly upgraded room on the 6th floor. At 3 am the next morning, construction started on the 7th (top) floor. We spoke to the manager, and they said yes, of course, they always start then. Same thing the next night. Don’t ask for a bucket of ice, it is 10 euros. The location is good, but the rooms are very average and service is not at a high level. We would not return.

Arriving from a long overnight flight for a three day stay we were warmly greeted by the ‘front’men who speedily secured our luggage. But the front desk clerk was cool, and there was no warmth in the greeting. The room was not available and we decided to eat lunch in the foyer restaurant to which the clerk directed us - but he forgot to tell us that we could not take my brief case and the small hand luggage into that restaurant. So we arrived and were turned away by the hostess due to the “house policy” and we waited while arrangements were made to secure the valuable hand luggage. The desk clerk told us that we would receive a telephone call when the room was ready - which would be 15:00H at the latest. We ate a delightful lunch and the ‘magic hour’ came and went - no call - and returning to the front desk we were told the room was in fact ready. Entering the room were were disappointed to find two double beds - not the king sized bed we had expected. The room itself was of a reasonable size but lacked an ocean view. There were no comfortable chairs and only two dining-style chairs adjacent to a small (2 ft. diameter) table, all located in a very limited space between one bed and the window, while the small patio had one daybed and another equally small table and two outside chairs. The room was well equipped, especially a 6 ft. long bench providing reasonable baggage stowage. But the hanging space for clothes was very limited and no drawers - so we left most clothes stored in the bags. Except for the very limited horizontal space to place toiletries, the bathroom was good sized with a shower that allowed water temperature and direction to be set before entering it. The commode and the bidet were in a separate area but there was no door to that area to provide any privacy from the remainder of the bathroom. One special note were the bath towels which were unusually large and fluffy - maybe were were experiencing the early part of their life cycle. Husband and wife we slept in the one small bed and found it to be exceptionally comfortable and encouraged a good nights’s sleep. Other than for the initial contact with the desk clerk we found all the staff to be exceptionally friendly, personable and well motivated overcoming that unimpressive first contact which so often sets the tone of hospitality.

The hotel is in the best location but it’s the staff that made our stay so fantastic. They couldn’t be more helpful. We really enjoyed Nikki Beach area too. Check in and check out was a breeze too. We very much look forward to our next visit which we hope will be very soon and just as special.

Very helpful, friendly and professional staff. The rooms are beautiful and elegant. The roof-top pool is very nice for a morning-swimm with a pleasant temperture. It is located just perfectly for getting around town, quickly. Sea-view rooms offer a amazing sunrise and a beautiful view along the Côte d'Azur. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with delicious pastries, fruits and more. Eggs are live fried or cook like requested by the chef.

Beds were smaller size than we booked- not queen size! Sea view room with outside deck was great! Enjoyed sitting out there in the morning sun. We had a good view of the Monaco harbour entrance and watching the boats was entertainment! Very clean room. Large soft bath towels.
