On arrival we were advised that we had made two bookings. Despite repeatedly stating that we had not, the front desk staff were insisting that we had. Our booking reservation number was 5679338 which was made in 2023. On February 10, 2024 we reconfirmed with the hotel this reservation. There was no comment of a second booking from the email I received from your hotel. Then on April 24,2024 on returning to the hotel we found that the room card was not working We had not received any advice that the card was cancelled. Fortunately we were able to access our room and speak to the front desk. We were told replacement cards would be delivered to our room. Shortly after a security guard arrived and without any explanation, said he was escorting us to the reception. I have never felt more inhumanated in my life. Walking through the reception area with a guard and everyone watching was very embarrassing. We were advised that our booking was till April 24 and were required to pay for an additional day. We had nothing on us to show that our booking was till April 25 so we paid. We actually obtained a copy of the bogus second booking. The reservation number was 5676565 and it showed our departure date of April 25, 2024. So why the cancellation of our room card and being treated like criminals. Shame on your hotel and the so called managers at the front desk. They should be removed from their duties. I will never recommend your hotel. All of your staff require training in customer service as they are failing in providing it.

Nice room, good water pressure. Close to running path and beach. Pint and Jigger had great drinks. Breakfast ok was good, I didn’t realize you could get a package that included your stay and breakfast. The open air mall was close by with an air ridge to it.

We treated our sister and niece to this hotel stay. They were absolutely thrilled and surprised. Janelle from reservations was instrumental in setting up this great vacay stay at Ala Moana hotel for them. Our niece was celebrating her 21st birthday.

Disappointing is an understatement

Upon checking into the hotel, we were given an upgrade, to a ADA room. Which we were grateful for, however upon arrival at the room we soon discovered that the bathroom was not suitable for us, as the shower was over the bath and the head was a maximum of 160cm. As I am almost 180cm this was an issue, also as a Veteran with leg, hip and back issues having to climb into and out of the bath just to shower would be a further issue. We went back to reception to enquire about the possibility of changing rooms to one more suitable, to be told that they were very busy and to come back later that day after 5pm and they would be able to assist us further. We did this and when returning to reception, the staff there were not helpful at all and we were made to feel that we were the problem. So returned to the room with no resolution. Later I requested further pillows to be bought to the room, and after 3 hours, still there were no pillows as requested, so I proceeded back to reception and asked in person. This appeared to have some type of traction and after dinner and returning to the room the pillows as requested were present. During our stay, the daily maid service was lacking at best. On several occasions we had to remake the bed, as the maid had simply pulled the blanket and cover sheet taught, leaving the under sheet all bunched in the middle of the bed and the bottom sheet untucked making for a near impossible sleep. On day 4 of our stay, we requested a sheet change. This was done however the sheets had holes in them. This made us fell that the standard of the hotel was not of the All Accor standard. Finally not on any day, did the maid service replenish the coffee making facilities. This is inexcusable as there was only 2 packets of sugar and 1 bag of coffee in the room when we commenced our stay. Finally as a gold All Accor member, we never received or were provided with our free drinks. all in all the standard of our stay was well below par and not one I would expect of the Accor brand. If we travel back to Honolulu we will not be staying at this hotel again, and I would not recommend it to other travellers to the area.
