not very clean rooms, broken furniture in bath, torn bed linen. issues with meeting rooms equipment(noise in interpretation)

I stayed at the Hotel Mercure Centrum Lublin in room no. 520 from 9th April 2024 - 14th April 2024. I am a student from India and I visited Lublin with my team-mate who was staying in room No. 521. The purpose of our visit was to participate in an international competition for law students being held at KULs John Paul II University (Faculty of Law). On 9th April i.e. the day we arrived in Poland and the day we checked into our hotel, my team-mate asked for a bottle of still water at the reception around 7pm. The reception told him that they would inform him about the availability of still water around 10 pm. Around 10 pm, a staff member from the hotel knocked on his door and used the master key to enter into the room. He was in the room and awake and hence he took the bottles of still water from the staff member. He told them not to go into my room. That day, I had gone to bed around 9.30 pm due to the jet lag and our long and tiring journey from India. Since I am a female solo traveller, I pushed a chair from the room against the door for my safety and I slept. When I woke up in the morning, the chair had been pushed and there were 2 bottles of water placed INSIDE my room. I have a video of the same, for your evidence. As a woman and a solo traveller, there has been a complete breach of my safety and my privacy. This was completely unacceptable. I have traveled widely and have never faced such a situation ever. Mercure hotels are very well-renowned world-wide and that was the primary reason we chose to live in your hotel. But after this, I will NEVER choose a Mercure Hotel in any country ever again and I will discourage all my friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances from doing so too. Initially, I was not going to raise a query and I was going to let it pass. But its been a week since I have returned to India and this event still traumatizes me deeply. The other days of my stay at Hotel Mercure were also not pleasant since I was not confident about my safety and security. I absolutely regret choosing Hotel Mercure.

The room was nice…. I was supposed to get a welcome drink, but did not get anything. The bathroom was a bit old. I went to the bar…. Ordered a drink and peanuts- the peanuts are overpriced! 20zl is very expensive!

Conference venue. Location i sa 2km walk to the old town which is lovely. Great park for waking opposite the hotel. The hotel is clean. Friendly staff. Good choice in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I have been staying in the hotel Mercure in Lublin for many years. Their staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very nice with a great selection of dishes. The hotel is well located in the centre of Lublin and excellent Plaza shopping centre is nearby.
