CASAY ON THE BEACH

Casay on the Beach is closed for a makeover and will reopen in October 2024. Bayside Bar and Grill at Pacific Bay Resort is open 7 days a week and are a two-minute drive or 10 to 15 minute walk away.

Don’t waste your time!

The Villa we were allocated was very dated, run down and had amenities that didn’t function correctly, for the price in off season we felt it was expensive. Very poorly lite and hard to find rooms. Buffet brekkie and dinner at Aanuka was again very overpriced and decor was very dated. Again we were a pre-organised big booking and it was very poorly ran and organised. We stayed with other parties, requested to be allocated together and couldn’t have been more separated. Pool and grounds are well maintained but that’s about all I can honestly recommend. We left disappointed and after a conversation with reception they directed to contact the hotel directly via email, we have and have had no response. Disappointing.

Old and dated accommodation. Room facilities found broken not working ie the fan would not turn off via the wall mounted control. This was in the winter month adding to discomfort/ stay at the hotel accommodation. TV hdmi plug was lose and had fallen out of the socket

I would never stay at this place again for the money I paid.I would never recommend either. The air cons had mould all through the outlet, filters in the washing look to have never been cleaned, kitchen had a leak into the floor, tv (free to air) didn’t work at all, hair on the blankets in the cupboards. Spa is a million years old, whole place is old, the bar is closed until Reno is finished but who knows when that is? Save your money and get an Airbnb. For what we paid we could have had a whole house! Only positive is its very close to the beach.

We booked via Accor as members. In a villa where the bedrooms/bathrooms were upstairs and living downstairs, with an extra toilet adjacent to the laundry. The first villa we were allocated had a better lounge and dining table/chairs. However, it was State of Origin and the TV would not work on the required channel. It was unable to be repaired, so we were given the opportunity to move to another villa. All staff were very pleasant in all dealings with this and other matters. Access to the beach is a 5 minute stroll from the villa through a locked gate - wonderful for a sunrise walk. Linda at the spa was booked for an excellent one hour therapeutic massage.

the tiles popped out from midnight and went on for hours. it was a scary experience. i was told i would get some sort of compensation but i did not and they did not follow through. i lost one night of sleep and had to make time the next day to move because my villa looked like it had an earthquake
