This hotel was comfortable, clean, quiet, beautiful and had an ease about it. After a long day of touring and hiking it was nice to come back to the Fairmont. We had planned 4 nights here and 4 nights in Hilo and after one night in Hilo came back to the Fairmont realizing you can drive from the Fairmont to everywhere and it was more enjoyable that way. As birders and hikers we loved that you can take long walks right from the hotel with pretty views and lots of birds, even Nene! Their golf course is Audubon certified and it shows and is appreciated. Their lagoon is perfect for snorkeling. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Really enjoyed our stay here!

The grounds are pristine, the views unparalleled, and the staff courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet is top notch with great choices of carbs, proteins, and treats. Eat healthy, or not, or both! The small beach and lagoon are perfect for snorkeling or just floating and chatting. The sunset views are among the best. Can't wait to come again.

Excellent trip loved the pool and Jadyn was so nice, welcoming and super friendly always saying hi and checking in to ensure we were comfortable. Celest in the spa was delightful as well! The entire breakfast staff were always friendly each day. If people make the trip special then this hotel is epic.

Magic resort stay

Magic resort north of Kona. This hotel has beautiful gardens and waterfalls, manicured lawns, shops, koi ponds, fabulous snorkelling, a huge pool and lovely restaurants onsite… they even throw in an amazing sunset each afternoon. We enjoyed a 10 day stay which included a conference and enjoyed many of the facilities. Unfortunately, the current exchange rates make everything crazy expensive with one of the massages topping AU$1000! Would definitely be back. Enjoyed most afternoons having a cool bevvy and sharing a meal at Halekai.

Great Snorkeling

Absolutely great stay at the Fairmont Orchid. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Love that the pool and hot tub are open all the time. Snorkeling with hotel gear in their cove was perfect and my favorite part. You didn't need to go far to see fish but could venture out pretty far to see more.
