ibis Styles Kaunas Centre 3성

I stayed here for several nights, and the experience was awful. The rooms were disgusting. They have a policy that they only clean the rooms every four days, unless you ask for it, and even then they only give you new towels. There was hair in the bathroom when I arrived, and something unidentified on the shower floor. I was dumb enough to move the nightstand, and it had obviously not been cleaned after the last stay. And maybe even longer. Two separate days I specifically asked for my room to be cleaned, and it still took two days for them to just clean the exact spots I had given as an example. The staff is either operating at the bare minimum of service, or they are rude. They look at you stupid, or roll their eyes for asking simple questions. Or they snap at you in a sharp tone if you have the audacity to ask them to do two thing at once, because you’re in a hurry and trying to catch a plane. This is a poor excuse for a hotel, one of the worst hotel experiences in my life. I would highly recommend finding another place to stay. Any other place..

We stayed at Ibis Styles Kaunas, which is conveniently located about 20 minutes from the airport and just a 10-minute walk from the train station — great for travellers. Although it’s a bit further from Kaunas town centre, the bus stop right across the road makes it easy to get around with frequent service. Our room was small but had everything we needed. However, the beds could definitely use better mattresses — the plastic-style ones with just a sheet on top made for an uncomfortable and rather sweaty sleep. The bathroom was clean and modern, but only one towel per person was provided. A small hand towel and an extra towel for drying hair would make a big difference (this seems to be a recurring issue with Ibis hotels). The lack of carpeting meant we could hear every footstep from the neighbouring room, which made it hard to get a good night’s rest. Overall, it’s an okay hotel for a short stay, but the noise levels, bedding comfort, and limited towels would make me think twice about staying again or recommending it to others.

I really liked this hotel. It just seemed to have everything I wanted/needed. I am disabled so the shower was great, it was walk in -flat. The TV had lots of English speaking channels, and Netflix. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, so it was great having the use of the kettle. There was a little table by the side of the bed, which was perfect for my CPAP ventilator, as I have Sleep Apnoea. I loved the lighting I hate bad lighting in hotel rooms, and the lighting here was fabulous!!! The mattress and pillows were also very comfortable. The room was extremely comfortable and spacious. Would highly recommended

On the surface, this place is great. A real bargain. But under the surface it’s a noisy, sleep depriving annoyance. This place is practically hollow, and the noise just travels through it like you wouldn’t believe! One night they had loads of kids running around on the level above mine, and you could hear everything! Another night around 2am I was woken up by people arguing and slamming doors. I could hear it like it was in my own room. Aside from that, it’s a clean room, modern and a good size, if I had paid more for the room I would be absolutely fuming, but I paid very little and breakfast was included which was pretty good. I would say between 2-3 stars. Such a shame!

Disappointed that the cleaner didn’t clean our room or changed the towels. We stayed 2 nights & no coffee /kettle in the room
