I stayed at the Ibis Budget La Rochelle back in May 2025 and was pleasantly surprised by how much it offered for the price. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made check-in and the overall stay really enjoyable. The rooms are clean, modern, and basic — exactly what you’d expect from a budget hotel, but well maintained and comfortable. I especially liked the bar and chill-out area, which had a relaxed vibe and even showed live sports — perfect for unwinding in the evening. The pool area was another highlight, really well kept and a great spot to relax after exploring the city. The location is decent — a bit of a walk to the main attractions, but no more than 10 minutes to most places, so still very convenient. Overall, this is a great budget hotel with everything you need for a short stay in La Rochelle. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit!

The Rebranding of the hotel don't really works .the room feels unfinished with horrible bare concrete.looks like you are sleeping in a cellar.cheap thin towels.good mattress and bedding.no kettle for tea in bedroom.beautiful pool . Horrible breakfast,like an afterthought,badly designed breakfast room.no cooked breakfast.secured parking next door for extra charge.very friendly staff.

Most unfriendly , unhelpful staff, disregard Alex's, Everything was so much bother for them, Felt like we, as guests, were such an inconvenience, rooms are awful, so so small, House keeping was consistent if they could have remembered replace towels & perhaps top up toiletries, Would never stay here again or recommend,

We stayed for a week in this hotel and it was great. Excellent location under 10 minutes from train and bus station, centre and beach. The pool area was great with sunbeds and parasols which were always available. Meals and drinks in the hotel were reasonable and nice. All Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. There is a delicious bakery 2 minutes awa if you don’t want to pay hotel prices for breakfast or lunch. Filtered water available on all floors. I’d definitely book this hotel again when we return.

We got a bus from the airport to about 5min walk away. Staff were helpful and let us store the bags until we could check in later. About 7 minute walk from center of town. It was clean and had a small swimming pool. Rooms were tiny. Good value. Had a bar and pool table. Average hotel in line with its price.
