Good food, excellent reception,nice furnished room and kind staff. One thing the wifi is bit slow. All other things are excellent. The bath rooms are good but the washing area is bit small. The Tv is good but if it’s a smart tv will be great. All other things are good.

Very good service and friendly staff. Sinli a good staff assisted and can speak good English. Perfect place to stay in Jayapura city for business as it is in the middle of the city. You can easily go to mall and street markets as the hotel is central to most places within Jayapura city.

Very disappointing, but cheap

As Accor Platinum members, my wife and I have stayed at many Mercure hotels around the world, and this one falls way below the brand's usual minimum standards. On check-in we were told that the standard room at this hotel has no window. Fortunately we were upgraded to a "superior" room, which was more like a regular Ibis room but was adequate. Room service was a disaster - it took multiple calls and visits and over an hour to get the right order, and the food was poor anyway. Breakfast was dangerous: most of the hot food was not being kept properly hot, the fruit was covered in ants, and the staff seemed completely unaware that they were serving up a potential health hazard. On the subject of the staff, I found it very disappointing that so few of the staff are Papuan. The few Papuans being employed were in the lowest-status jobs but provided us with the best service, while all the more senior positions at the front desk and restaurant went to people brought in from various Indonesian islands, none of whom were very good. The positive things about this place are that it's cheap and central, so it could be OK just for a convenient stopover. But Mercure is usually about something more than that.

I stay for business trip for 5night. I think i got the biggest room at 6th floors. But here the things, just after checkin i need to ask for extra towel, they just gave me one! And after 3 night shampoo and shower gel run out! Everyday they clean the room but why not check the gel too? Came back from office and want to shower then sleep but after wet i just realized no shower gel. Then they leave mu room without doormat in bathroom. And the last thing, my cup they didnt change it and still in my bed table, also the one they change they put it upside usually ive got it face down especially with out glass lid. Feels bad man!
