Never believe what the photos tell you. Stopped for an overnight stay , booked through Booking.com at least 2 months prior as we wanted a hotel with a restaurant. Arrived early and pleasantly greeted etc only to find restaurant closed on a Sunday. Try finding somewhere in the CBD of Rockhampton that is open ! Thank goodness we found the good old Criterion down the road. The service, smiles, food, plus the manager showed us the accommodation that was available, hence next time we shall be staying either there or somewhere else. Sorry Mercure, but your rooms were mouldy, bathroom fittings were corroded, in a nutshell the maintenance needs to be addressed. Breakfast was well presented but certainly not worth $28 a head. Certainly would not recommend Accor Mercure Rockhampton . Perhaps a little more attention to detail wouldn’t go amiss.

Es handelt sich um ein typisches Mercure Hotel. Geräumige Zimmer, Bad (leider mit Badewanne und Duschabtrennung) und üblicher Ausstattung (2 Tassen etc.) mit Balkon. Die Fotos mit Pool sind sehr vortelhaft aufgenommen.

Malgré mon statut Diamond, aucune attention ( comme j ai droit à chaque fois ailleurs chez Accor, petit mot du directeur, chocolat, vin…) si ce n est un surclassement nul dans une chambre à côté de l ascenseur, et hormis 3 capsules de café, rien de mieux que chambre normale, car pas de chaussons etc) Hôtel très bruyant Petit déjeuner finissant le lundi à 9 h, pour des clients en vacances c est inadmissible, et à 8h40, il ne reste plus beaucoup de denrées, il fallait tout réclamer, Je dors plus de 100 nuits par an dans les Mercure, partout dans le monde, c’est l un des plus mauvais, il ne mérite que 2 ou 3 étoiles à peine

This hotel is in a great location and walkable to the CBD and cafes and restaurants in the area. The room was a little tired but very clean.

We stayed after our trip in the Queensland outback. Reception we just arrived from Clermont by car at 14-00 hour. We were told the room would take a little while before being ready, so we went for a walk in the CBD, and someone would call us on mobile came back at 15.30 to reception but nobody called us! Got the room key and went to our room which was adequate for a Mercure property but needs a lift . We ate in the restaurant and had breakfast service was good, and food came as per menu description. On last evening of Sunday, we went out and put the signage on door handle our room wasn't refresh so we spoke to a housekeeper, but they were too busy and finally at 15. 30 hours caught the eye of person that is wait staff doing rooms, we gave our rubbish and ask for new bathroom towels but no explanation why the room was done. Overall, the stay was good, dining room and kitchen excellent, room when we arrived aircon not working properly but after several the Head Houskeeper fix it, very professional. Meet and greet at reception needs for staff training but most of stay was enjoyable and location is great.
