Some of the reviews for this hotel made me feel a little apprehensive. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel is. Aside from the mattress being quite thin and hard, everything else was great. Great bar staff making amazing coffee. Wonderful reception staff. Friendly cleaners. Special thanks to Sandra the manager - thank you for the great stay and the extra effort you made. If ever I am back in Rhodes town, I’ll be sure to come back.

Lovely hotel. Only 10 minutes walk from the old town, and near lots of restaurants and bars. Our favourite was only a 2 minute walk away, and that wasn’t even the closest! The hotel has nice sea views, particularly from the upper floors. I had room 618 which was a corner room and perfectly situated. I think the upgrade to the prestige rooms was worth it for the higher floor. Also the illy coffee and soft drinks in the fridge were a nice extra touch. There is some construction next door but this did not detract from our stay at all. The hotel is spotless clean, and very efficiently ran. There were no waits at reception at any time and any request was carried out swiftly and with pleasure from the lovely friendly ladies on reception. Very professional and slick well done! Breakfast was great, no waiting time, fresh and plentiful buffet, and indoor and outdoor seating. Good value for money. We booked direct with Accor. The tourist tax of £10 per night was helpfully already included in the room rate, but changed separately on arrival. The bar restaurant was amazing. The food and service were incredible. Special thanks to Alex and Stavros who made us very welcome and were so kind, helpful and service focused. Fabulous table service as you moved around the pool and restaurant. Would 100% stay here again and will try other Mercures on the back of this visit.

Had a wonderful stay from the warm reception to checkout. The staff is so welcoming and kind. The entire hotel is very clean, rooms are large & comfortable with good beds and a nice bathroom. The breakfast is a nice selection of bread, rolls, toast, pancakes, egg dishes, yoghurt, jams, candied fruits, vegetables, warm hearty and sweet pastries, fresh cakes, juices and coffees. And the location right off the beach and so near to the old city is just perfect. I enjoyed the hotel so much i already booked my next stay where i'm bringing my 79 yr old father with me too.

On arrival we received a very friendly welcome from Angie who carried this on throughout our whole stay, she even remembered the room numbers. The rooms were spacious with everything you would need. The housekeeping was ok but did not always replenish tea/coffee, but when mentioned at reception was immediately rectified. The decor was lovely and restful. There was a nice terrace area in front of the hotel with comfortable furniture. Mrs Meltem arranged transfers from and to the airport for us which were seamless and she was extremely helpful with good advice. As well as Angie, Alexandra was also very friendly and helpful and in fact all the staff were extremely friendly - bar, restaurant and in the breakfast area. There are also many restaurants within walking distance of this hotel, which is very useful. All in all we had a wonderful week at the Mercure Alexia and hope to return. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel deco is stunning.On arrival Alexandra was very friendly and welcoming.Meltem is very informative and genuinely cared for the guests.Angie is also very friendly band chatty.The room was immaculate,the cleaners are doing an excellent job.Everything was to hand like the tissues,the towels,etc.Breakfast was a delight to look at,the choice is so varied.I couldn't believe I was having Turkish delight.Special mention to the girls at the restaurant and the cooks.The barman is also very friendly and funny.We are already planning to come back!Thank you for everything.
