This hotel was chosen as a convenient stop-over from the UK to the South of France. It was booked as the Google reviews were pretty good. Finding the hotel was relatively straightforward from the A28 but a sat-nav will be a help. The car park at the hotel wasn’t the largest so an early arrival is recommended. The charge was €8 per night which was reasonable enough but paying the charge at the machine wasn’t so straightforward… We were greeted at Reception with a reasonable welcome. We were allocated our rooms and that was about it. The school holidays were in full swing and the hotel was busy and the reception staff were doing other jobs as well…. They were certainly earning their living… We had room 268 which was an end of corridor room. It was a good size with a nice big bathroom and a really comfy bed. We could not fault this at all….. Breakfast again was chaotic as the hotel was really busy. There was a great choice though and the coffee went down a treat. There was certainly enough food to start your day. The hotel does serve a very limited amount of food and the bar has a reasonable choice of drinks. There are a few restaurants nearby and a super burger joint within a five walk. Overall a great stay! The fire alarm did go off at 01:00 in the morning which wasn’t great! Still at least it was a false alarm so that’s near enough. If we were passing Rouen again and needed a bed, then we would definitely choose again….

Comfy place to stay close to the old downtown with 5 star service!!!!!!!!!

Our second night in France we stayed here. The hotel was close enough that we could take a 10 minute uber to the old part of town. The room was comfy and we had an enjoyable stay. Kudos to Elisabeth & Juliette for being quite handy to answer all of our questions and meet any beverage needs we had at the bar. Amazing stay! Thanks!

Lovely hotel. Does the basics well. No frills but l nice facilities and very friendly staff. Beds are very comfortable. The breakfast has a great selection of breads and warm pastries. Everything was clean. Enjoyed having the pool table and Fußball table downstairs!

Fab location. Parking was good too. Dog friendly. Teas and coffee facilities. Lovely soascious clean room, we had a fab nights sleep. As we arrived late we didn’t venture outside, had a drink at the bar. Very friendly gentleman served us and made us feel welcome, thank you. Would recomend.

Congrats from all the team for this review,especially bar team which is happy to have some people late in the night.See you next time

Stayed in room 223 which was in front of hotel. In spite of it being a busy road the soundproofing did its job and there was little outside noise. Roundabout was fun to watch - not so much fun to get out onto when leaving hotel. The room was extremely comfortable. Bathroom had walk in shower and was modern and clean. Breakfast typical of Ibis/Novotel. Selection of breads, cheeses and hams as well as cereals. Nice view over Rouen Rugby ground. I parked in hotel carpark- remember to get code before leaving. Hotel about 20 minutes walk into city centre.

You talk about IBIS ROUEN RIVE GAUCHE MERMOZ which is not ours but they will be pleased to read it when we will transfer them.Best regards
