Peaceful area away from the touristed areas

This is a very nice property tucked away in a small mountain nook. It’s quite a drive from Jinghong or other sites but very quiet area. Suggest having your own vehicle if coming here. The cycling in the area is great. Lots of farming and countryside mountains to see!

Extremely overvalued over CNY

I am giving an extremely low rating because of the dramatic contrast between what I have read in other postings and what we have experienced. The hotel is nice, great for photo shoots. Perhaps it is because of Chinese New Year, the following items are just terrible: 1) Restaurant - only one restaurant is open at the hotel. Other than a egg station and a noodle bar, there is really no other hot dishes to choose from. Lunch/Dinner - dont pick any non Chinese dish like papaya salad or Nasi Goreng - I dont think chef knew what these dishes should taste like. Hainan chicken was okay. Shower - water is not hot enough Hot springs - landscape is great with 10+ pools. But again water was not got hot enough. Had to ask the helper several times before they would prepare couple 40C pools.

Yes, during the Chinese New Year our occupancy were affected by DOVd-19, thus to safe energy and manpower we only open one restaurant but serve both Chinese and Western menu. Your valuable comment regarding our shortcoming of food quality and hot spring service had been shared with out kitchen team and hot spring department, for immediate action to improve the product and service quality. We spend A week in Angsana hotel around New Year. The Area is beatiful and rooms are up to standard for a 5 star hotel. There is a beautiful golf course next door and if you want to play you are picked up at the hotel. Staff is friendly bu there is no staff that can speak English. They have excellent fresh coffee in the lobby. Breakfast buffet is extensive with western as well as Chinese food. But after 10 am staff does hardly replace things that are finished. Several mornings there were no more cups at the coffee machine, cheese was finished, several types of bread was finished. Also in he evening the restaurant was understaffed. It took over 40 minutes to serve a pizza, which was tasting good. Minibar was never filled up. A thing what we not realized that it was very far from the main sightseeing spots in Xishuangbanna. To Jinghong takes about one hour and to find a taxi back in the evening might be a headache. They fully equipped gym/fitness was just an empty room: no bicycle, no treadmill, no mats etc. We expected for New Year’s Eve at least the restaurant and bar open but they closed at 10.
