Drive 3.5 hours to Durham for The Dixie Dregs/Steve Morse Band show at The Carolina Theatre. The hotel was within walking distance of the venue, and multiple dining options.

The hotel was generally old, rundown and not very clean. It was disappointing for a girls trip. There needs to be a tremendous amount of cleaning, maintenance and improvement. Our room was basically doused in lemon cleaner and the smell was completely overwhelming. I don’t think the rug had ever been cleaned and we could never get the lights to work correctly which is really frustrating at night time. You need lights! The elevators were gross and the hotel staff was fairly unprofessional. When arriving late in the evening, the valet was standing outside of the main door with 3 individuals with large dogs on choke/punch collars and did not move for us to enter. We were obviously interrupting and an inconvenience. This hotel does not check the boutiquey hotel vibe it aspires to. It’s completely underwhelming.

Fine , need to have a refrigerator, microwave to use in the room , to keep medications and child’s milk cold.

Very pleasant, quiet, nice and cozy atmosphere. Employees gets 5 stars rating and more. I Loved my stay there . Only one suggestion, please place a small refrigerator in the rooms beneath that bar area. I had no where store my grand child’s juice or milk, nor my emergency seizure medication which has to remain refrigerated.

No water to buy, no refrigerator, very non-sound proof doors / rooms.
