This place is so delightful! We met here for lunch and ended up staying and visiting the museum nearby. Convenient walking distance to lots of shopping, restaurants and the downtown square. There is an old ice cream shop that is a must to visit in the summertime and loved all the little local shops!

Major disappointment

We had a lovely room but were never informed that there would be NO television service. We were also never informed that parking would be a major problem. I was charged for a bottle of house wine, which I had requested but when I arrived there was no mention of this, even after I said so(so did Amex whhen I was charged for it.) Major disappointment after we had enjoyed this hotel many times in the past.

This chain of hotels is just terrific! And to have an amazing art museum as part of all their hotels takes it over the top. The art is extensive, eclectic, and what’s not to love about those penguins! The hotel also owns the restaurant that’s in the hotel—the Hive in this one. The food in all these is just wonderful, and always emphasizes food from the city. We had a Luxury King room which was spacious and beautiful. LOVE the fact all lights are on dimmers except in bathroom. It’s in a terrific location, just off the main square and shopping areas. Convenient, free parking garage next to the hotel.

Beautiful hotel. Design and art galleries are a treat. People are great. Pillows and mattress are not great. Pillows are dense and hard. Mattress is bouncy and hard. Really should just use Casper Hybrid mattresses. Love the aluminum water bottles.

Sadly this hotel is not the same wonderful place we stayed in eight years ago. The facility is showing its age (especially the carpets), and the restaurant is mediocre at best. (Last time we had one of the best meals we ever had.) On the upside, the art is still interesting, and the staff is excellent. We’ve talked about returning for years. Now we have and won’t likely be back.
