Stayed in 4 highly rated hotels this trip. 2 in Tulsa, 1 in Springfield MO, and this one. This hotel was more than twice as much as the others and very disappointing. Difficult parking due to extensive construction, pillows were awful, restaurant so-so and very overpriced. The room was okay but MUCH smaller than the other hotels. I recommend just a day trip here to see the museum and the town, one day is plenty. Stay in Springfield or Little Rock, this place isn’t worth the price.

Fantastic hotel! Super comfortable room with lots of seating options and a great bed. All the details were well thought out and lots of room to stretch out. Great lighting, too, for reading that most hotel rooms lack. Interesting art all through the hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Will stay here again when we visit Bentonville

We took a short couples trip to Bentonville primarily to see the Crystal Bridges Museum. We stayed at 21C and loved the location especially. It was just a short distance to several local attractions. Parking was very nice in a covered garage (they also had valet). The hotel had bellman to assist with luggage if needed. The hotel was very clean and had contemporary art throughout. The staff were all very helpful. The room was comfortable. Almost like home “comfortable. Nice shower, nice linens, comfortable mattress and pillows. Nice coffee maker! Overall a great place to spend a few days!

I loved MOST of my stay at 21c Museum hotel in Bentonville: The beautiful art that graced the lobby area and guest room spaces, the whimsical penguins placed strategically and surprisingly throughout the hotel, the warm and friendliness of the staff. Having the night cap offered was a nice touch, and having to travel alone, the bar area and restaurant were a welcome amenity. The room and bed were well appointed and very comfortable, and the housekeeping service five star. My only two complaints were the following: I had specifically asked for a room away from the elevators and top floor preferred (i.e., quiet). I checked, and it was on the reservation form I submitted. When I checked in, however, they put me in a room just two doors from the elevator and on the second floor - basically the first floor of guest rooms. Because there was a big wedding going on that weekend, I knew the elevators were going to be noisy, early and late. So I had to shlep down to the front desk and ask for a different room. The next room was perfect; it was on the fourth (highest) floor, and at the end of the hall in the corner. I did appreciate how they accommodated me, but why not give me this room in the first place?. The second issue I had was breakfast in the hotel. When I showed up I waited a very long time to get an order in, then I watched as others came in, ordered, and got their meals before I did. I asked the staff about this, and they said they were short-handed due to someone calling in sick. It just seemed so disorganized. After 45 minutes I finally got my breakfast, but by then I had to wolf it down, as I had only 10 minutes left before I had to leave for a meeting. I feel like they should have figured out a better way to serve their customers, even with the short staffing problem. Needless to say, I refused to eat breakfast there again. I did have dinner one night, and Andrew, my waitperson, was a delight! Location is wonderful - walking distance to the main town square and restaurants, shops, the WalMart Museum, and the Crystal Bridges Art Walk and Park, and Museum. I've stayed in the Bentonville and Louisville 21c hotels, and would like to visit all of them!

Moderne Kunst im Hotel mit Anspruch

Ein Hotel, das sich der modernen Kunst verschrieben hat, an einem Ort, in dem vor kurzem ein höchst anspruchsvolles Museum der amerikanischen Kunst eröffnet hat, das ist allemal ein interessantes Programm. Die Hotelgründer wollen Städte, die mehr Aufmerksamkeit verdienen, durch ungewöhnliche Hotels aufwerten, wobei sie Gastlichkeit mit Kunst verbinden (wollen). Das Hotel mit dem ungewöhnlichen Namen 21c Museum Hotel (wobei 21c für das 21. Jahrhundert steht) löst diese Ansprüche wenigstens zu einem großen Teil ein. Überall im Gebäude gibt es moderne Kunst (und wechselnde Ausstellungen, derzeit z.B. kubanische Künstler), es gibt viel Platz, Großzügigkeit ist angesagt. Überall stolpert man über grüne Pinguins, eigens für dieses Hotel gestaltet. Auch die 104 Zimmer sind großzügig eingerichtet, mit großen Fenstern und allem, was ein modernes Hotelzimmer ausmachen soll (inklusive kostenlosem WiFi und einer für die USA immer noch ungewöhnlichen Nespresso-Maschine). Das Personal ist jung und freundlich. Frühstück ist nicht im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen, man wird bedient und das dauert in der Regel so seine Zeit und kostet auch mehr als anderswo.
