A fun hotel with wall to wall unique art work. Rooms were comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful. Meeting room and banquet area was spacious. Sound system was sometimes hard to understand. Location is great. An easy walk to many restaurants and sites.

A really top-notch hotel in a fantastic location. Every aspect of our stay was flawless, and service was friendly and professional. When we needed a phone charger at 11pm, a staff member found one in the housekeeping office and brought it to our room.

We stayed here on a drive from Alabama to Pennsylvania and liked it so much that we changed our route on the way home so we could stay here again. My family loved the thought-provoking art and the hotel’s calming atmosphere. Great little workout room too. Convenient parking at the garage next door for only $10/night.

The hotel was nice. Had everything we needed and was conveniently located in Louisville. If you are an “open minded” “art” enthusiast you might like it. Being a loyal patriot, I didn’t appreciate the wall-sized photo of an upside-down American Flag. This is not how a flag should be displayed. This is not art. It is disrespectful and disgusting, especially seeing it on Veterans Day. Calling this art only because it’s controversial and offensive is lazy. Shame on this hotel for allowing this to be displayed and shame on this artists imitator for passing this off as art.

Our current exhibition, This We Believe, explores a variety of perspectives on current issues and events. While the flag is flying upside down in Mitch Epstein’s photograph, Veterans Respond Flag, Sacred Stone Camp, Standing Rock Sioux Reservation, North Dakota 2017, the image is not intended as a critique of patriotism. The photograph was taken of a moving van driven by US veterans to deliver supplies to people protesting the installation of an oil pipeline on the Standing Rock reservation. The artist explains that “Traditionally, the American flag is flown upside down as a signal of distress. The iconography was adopted during the 1970s by the American Indian Movement (AIM) and other Native American protest groups as a symbol and signal of their longstanding distress caused by their mistreatment at the hands of the United States government.” These flags are intended to draw attention to what the Veterans Respond group perceive as infringements on American freedoms or civil rights. This exhibition will be changing in late January with a group show about the relationship between nature and technology. We hope you will return to 21c in the future. 21c Team,

I left my Dyson blow dryer (worth $700) in room 307 August 28. 2024. I called right away to say I left it. We called three times in 24 hours. The hotel said they didn’t have it in lost and found. We asked them to please check the room. They said they had a one week procedure to follow and would get back to us. They have not called or followed up. Whenever we call we get a run around. We feel like they did not try. Very disappointing. It ruined our time in Louisville.
