I chose this hotel because I've enjoyed other stays at ibis Styles hotels in Japan. In my experience the English proficiency seems to be higher in this hotel chain compared to other hotels in Japan, which was also true for this one in Nagoya. But it also felt less personal compared to other ibis Styles hotels. I have to admit I was a bit concerned when I checked in and there was a highway right outside my room. But the soundproofing was excellent, I couldn't hear anything from the quite busy road. The area in general is quiet at night. The room was immaculately clean, as (almost) usual in Japan. The bed was too hard for my liking. Coming back to the hotel my first evening in Nagoya I actually wondered if it was located in a red light district, as there were young Japanese girls on the sidewalk in pajamas holding teddy bears trying to lure in customers to whatever was going on. If I ever come back to Nagoya I'll probably choose another hotel closer to either Nagoya station or a subway.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Pros: Buffet breakfast is not bad. A mix of Japanese and western food albeit selection is not too wide. Room is stylish and clean. Bathroom is clean but a little tiny. Reception came and change the air purifier/humidifier immediate after my complaint. They serve Illy coffee at the coffee house, however this is chargeable. Cons: Once checked in, realised that the air purifier/humidifier is not working properly but... refer the pros! :D About 10 mins walk from Nagoya Station. A little far if you have a large luggage!

Good room, good beds. Bathroom area was tiny but functional for a short stay. Location is across the street from the delightful fish market (check hours/open days). Breakfast was okay. Their coffee bar is not very good. Best to buy your expresso coffee outside. I was happy with our stay. Be aware it is a fairly long walk (10 min) from Nagoya Station if one has heavy bags. We did it okay, but others might struggle. Their staff were helpful, especially a Japanese lady manager who studied in Canada. There is an exceptional gourmet bakery at Midland Square toward the station.

Very surprised by the spacious room here and how comfortable it is! Its probably a new hotel and location is a slightly longer walk from main Nagoya station but its also means that it is quieter here and you still get the convenience of Nagoya station. The bedding was surprisingly plush for a budget chain like this, and trumps other more expensive hotels I had stayed. Amenities provided are limited to toothpaste and toothbrush, cotton buds and cotton pads. The shower had Ibis branded toiletries and size of bathroom was adequate for me. Towels are on the thinner end but still adequate. Its a good fuss-free and no-frill hotel and if you come in with the right mentality (this is an Ibis, afterall) you will be surprised at how good this is.

First time i stay in this ibis style and even location near highway they manage to provide me quiet room. Excellent service from ibis team. Check in/out is fast and efficient like always, room is quite spacious even in japan. Overall is wonderful stay for me
