Peppers Blue on Blue Resort

I highly recommend this hotel! I went on a trip to Australia with my family and we also visited the beautiful Magnetic Island. I forgot my necklace in this hotel, but I emailed the reception asking to send my necklace to Belgium, because the jewel has an important meaning for me. The kind Mark Shanahan did this, for which I am very grateful! Nothing but credit to Mark for following up on this for me. My necklace has now arrived safely in Belgium. Once again a big thank you Mark! You are already the employee of the year for me!

The location is excellent. The resort pools were fantastic and the apartment plunge pool is a great addition. The reason we didn't provide a higher rating was the tired status of the apartment and the very unusual primary bedroom/bathroom layout. Our room (913) was perfectly located, with a great aspect back over the marina and avoiding the afternoon western sun but the fixtures and fitting need a complete overhaul. The roof in the bathroom appeared to be mid repair, the blinds barely worked as the pulley teeth are nearly all missing, there was a leak in a bedroom (from rain) and the beds and furniture are have all seen better days. I am assuming the apartment is privately owned and then managed by Peppers - the issue is that as a customer, we book and pay Peppers, so we expect Peppers standard (which is usually very good.). If I was managing the complex, I would take 913 out of the booking engine until the owners make substantial repairs. In the kitchen, it would be a minimal expense to update the cutlery... Also, the garden needs to be pruned so access to the pool is safer. Finally, back to the primary bed/bath. This would have to be the worst layout I have ever seen. There is literally zero privacy and I am yet to find anyone who likes to have a bath 3 feet from their bed! I truely can't understand how it was ever deemed reasonable...! Finally, we totally expected and accepted that it was not daily serviced...but, we felt like we were on wartime rations with our toilet paper and dishwashing liquid. At the very least, if the owners want to have the kitchen maintained in a clean way, I'd recommend providing supplies commensurate with the nights booked. Cheers, Matt.

Great location across from the ferry and the bus to get around the island very easily . There are two pools and he apartments are generously sized. The grocery store and the bottle shop are also a short trip across the road alongside the magnetic island car hire. Best base location on the island

I cannot rave enough about this accommodation and how my Husband and I are still talking about it 2 weeks later. The location is ideal. 1 minute walk from the Ferry, IGA, liquor store, car rental and Marina. When we checked in, they kindly upgraded our room with the note it was our honeymoon. We walked into our unit and it was a three bedroom, full kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 bathrooms, fully laundry machines, 2 balconies; one of which was off the master bedroom with the most gorgeous view of the Marina and the lush mountains behind it. The décor was impeccable, beachy vibes and just so clean and welcoming. Fresh towels in every room for the beach and for showering and a bottle of sparkling wine cold in the fridge for us to celebrate with. We spent 3 days here and it was not enough- we could've spent a week or more. The breakfast included in our stay was delicious and we loved the morning fruit selection. The pools were fantastic, we swam until 10:30pm the first night in the heat and enjoyed the pool after beach days during sunset. The island itself is beautiful, quiet, secluded beaches and hikes. We rented a car one day, but used the bus services the next day to get around and it was perfect. We ate once at the hotel restaurant - delicious, then twice outside and around the island - there are a lot of options. Had a morning smoothie just a short walk away from the hotel - would recommend. Hotel staff were very nice, polite and helpful when it came to understanding the bus and ferry schedules. I would recommend this place a hundred times over. Stay here and you will not regret it. Best value for money.

L’hotel è a pochi metri dal porto dove si arriva con il traghetto, quindi comodissimo anche con i bagagli. La camera era grande e pulita. Bagno bello grande. Piscina fantastica!!!! Lo consiglio fortemente per godersi appieno il relax dell’isola.
