Wouldn’t recommend for disability or dietary needs, too far to access from car park, poor options in restaurant. Lighting poor at night to walk to and from car. Called before booking to verify vegan options / dairy free, was told could accommodate, on arrival two bland choices, no starters, no dessert, no wine (despite local choices), very inflexible - local pub nailed it! Room was top floor & a long way from carport, lighting at night was poor & so early starts not great for safety for solo female travellers. Staff were nice & polite, whrn my bathroom flooded the room though I was told plenty had stayed in the room and hadn’t happened before, fortunately porter / maintenance didn’t have same attitude after observing how a new bathroom Reno clearly forgot something, I had to move rooms. The next room was completely different, both ocean view rooms, first one mostly dated except bathroom (which leaked), opposite beach, not really a view. Stay on the rise at other businesses & get a much better view. Vegan today is super easy & if looking for choice, understanding, great food, try the pub, they were far more accommodating.

We stayed at Mantra Lorne overnight. The room is very clean and functional. The check-in was easy. The only thing wrong we could not park in front of the room we had to park about 100 m away from the room and there was empty car parks in front of the room. It was raining so we had to walk in the rain also they are cashless so for anyone wishing to use cash you cant My wife and I would stay again if they improve the parking and let people use cash

The car parking is allocated for all apartments, however the Hotel/Resort Rooms are all shared and located further way from the rooms. Due to the property layout and space we cannot add additional parking closer to the rooms. Regards, Edwin

Lovely bright one bedroom unit with great views of manicured grounds and the ocean. Comfortable bed, spa bath, huge balcony and well set up kitchen with dishwasher. In the heart of Lorne on te beach. Across the road from the shopping strip. Great restaurant with delicious food.

Back again!!! Can't keep away!

Back again after a stay August 2024. Warmer weather and beach time! 1BR Garden View apartment with sea view Perfect stay. Day trip to Melbourne with easy drive Great facilities, kitchen, oven and dishwasher as well as laundry with dryer right outside door. Free allocated parking with no stragglers, parking in wrong park this stay Will stay again! Only draw,back this trip was an almost entire day blackout for Eastern Lorne and apartments at Mantra

Not so great, full of mould

From the moment we walked in we both knew this was a second rate 5 star. But that's fine, so long as the rest of the stay is 5 stars.... It wasn't. We had to wait 20mins with atleast 4 other families behind us waiting to be checked in. After being told we had an ocean view that was $100 dearer than their current price for the same room, I had sent an email back asking why we were charged $100 more compared to their prices - to no avail. But as a paid critic I must take them at the price I paid for. An outlined map was presented with parking (which on the website was promised infront of the apartment) but of course - not. I had to drop my partner off at the building suite then look for parking in the spots designated for patrons that DIDN'T pay for parking. (we ended up on the grass) then into the apartment we went... The view was amazing, overlooking the tennis courts and in the off too distant view, the beach. Or rather the ocean. After a long day's journey we went to the bar fridge (at this point I should mention the reception didn't let us take our room, which was pre paid for, until we showed them ID and a credit card for room service) except there was no room service, the qr code didn't work and the fridge was bare. We told the receptionist there was no water in our room and he looked so puzzled... He said "your bathroom tap isn't working?" Now we looked puzzled... Do you mean to say your expect us to get our drinking water from the bathroom sink tap???? He said yes, that's where all the guests drink from... We couldn't believe it We have stayed everywhere from Niseko, Japan to down south Aus to QT, NZ. This is disgusting to expect your guests to drink from the bathroom sinks. We went to dinner in their restaurant, everything was amazing, great service, great drinks, great food. Got back to the hotel room and room service finishes at 9pm, we were still hungry at 8:15 and ordered food but to no avail... Apparently that's too late to order for a 9pm service They advertise a 9 hole putting green but its actually a 6m putting green patch with 9 Holes carved out in it, basically for babies. All in all we give this hotel a 2/5

At present we do not supply bottled water to rooms as this is to reduce our environment impact and reduce waste. We are looking into some alternative options, however tap water in Lorne is among the most natural you will find in Australia with local rainfall in the Otways. Thank-you again for the review.
