The room was very clean and spacious with a nice wide desk for work. A comment is they state there is no room service which can be inconvenient if you arrive late. However, at the restaurant I found out you can order room service after 8.30pm? More clarity should be provided. Another point to consider is the limited parking during business hours. Most of the spots were full and probably taken up by other businesses which makes it difficult. However, the staff did manage to get me a spot after I checked in.

Excellent location, nice rooms, very friendly and cooperative staff, modern and comfortable. I really recommend this place in Launceston in beautiful Tasmania! It was an outstanding experience from start to end, and I would definitely return.

Pleasant surprise when we arrived and were advised we were "clients of the day", or similar wording. This gave us a n upgrade to an executive suite and a complimentary bottle of wine. A good start! The suite was spacious with a fully equipped kitchenette, complete with pod coffee. A large bathroom, however we were surprised at the size of the shower, it was adequate, but with such a large room a larger shower would have seemed appropriate. The lounge/bedroom was huge with coffee table and chairs and a desk. Everything worked well but we would like to meet the lighting designer, not just here but in most hotels. We sorted it out. I was undergoing a sleep test and had wires and leads hanging out everywhere and didn't feel like facing the world. Room service was not available but when we rang the dining room they were more than happy to plate up our chosen meal, and wine and to make it easier the reception staff carried it up for my wife. All the staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel is well placed if you are in town for medical reasons as it is literally across the road from the LGH and other medical practices and clinics. Another bonus was breakfast was included in the tariff, again very friendly staff and a good breakfast experience. Overall a good experience, maybe a bit pricier than some, but with breakfast included it was good value

I had to travel to Launceston for medical tests next door to the hotel, so it was a no-brainer really. Have stayed here quite a few times over the last 8 years, mostly before Accor took over. However, some things haven't changed -the ever-ready concierge Phil took my booking over the phone at short notice, (the call center had shut for the day) and fitted myself and my wife in. The room was lovely and clean, the restaurant was very good. The only "niggles" I would say were - maybe some spare pillows of varying softness in the cupboard might have been nice, and also the hotel now offers a daily discount of $10 if you "self manage" (no housekeeping) while you stay. This can only be redeemed against meals in the restaurant, apparently. We were not aware of this, and we paid for each meal as we had them, rather than booking it all up to "the room". On checkout, we brought this up with the staff to see if maybe as goodwill we could have it taken off the stay bill instead, because IF we'd booked our meals up to "the room", the discount would have been applied to the final total on checkout anyway- but no, she just smiled and said "You've gotta read the fine print..."
