A very convenient location close to Pacific fair shopping centre and walkable to the beach. Check in was easy and staff really kind and helpful. We were a family with three small kids and two elderly parents, so enjoyed using the indoor pool and sauna in the building. Fully equipped kitchen, which was very handy in making family meals. The only issue was the room felt a bit dated and not very clean. The sofa cushions and carpet were dusty, we even spotted some bugs in the carpet.

We had a perfect 3 day stay. Beautiful apt, furnished beautifully, lovely decor, spotlessly clean, great views over the hinterland. Great reception. Joshua and Tamara were so helpful, couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The location is perfect. Pacific Fair, shops, restaurants, cafes for good coffee, light rail, beach - all 5 minute walk away. Mantra facilities are wonderful - pool, steam room, sauna, lounge, internet area and all spotless and smelling fabulous. Check in and departure were easy and as before Joshua and TAmara were excellent. Makes us want to return.

Room 1901 great location being close the Pacific Fair Wifi - didnt work Rooms are in need of a spruce up, dirty blinds, windows sealed with tape so the rooms are extremely noisy from the wind and the traffic. ( Traffic goes all night ) Staff were great to deal with with Could be a bit cleaner but if your not to worried then the location is perfect

Spacious room - disappointing check-in experience

We arrived at 4:30pm and were told our room was not ready - the hotel was short staffed. I was promised a hamper for the inconvenience, and 10% off our next stay. The family behind us had been waiting for 2 1/2 hours for their room! The room was ready at 5:45pm - we had dinner reservations at 6:30pm which we were late for. The apartment was spacious, unfortunately quite noisy with the traffic outside. Upon checking, the dishwasher was not cleaned before we checked in and the shower head was broken in the 2nd bathroom. The hamper I was promised was not given - instead we were given vouchers to go to Q1 for 2 adults and 2 children. These we could not use as 1 of our children was too old for the vouchers. I would have preferred the promised hamper. This stay was for our wedding anniversary - it was not the stay I had hoped for.

Perfect location but the hotel is from hell!!

We are a family of 5 and this was our second holiday on the Gold Coast The Mantra Sierra Grand Hotel is perfectly located directly opposite Pacific Fair and 70m away from the beach. The views from the hotel (we were on the hinterland side) were spectacular day and night! The rooms were spacious. The living areas were accommodating as a climate control was efficient. As apartments with fully laid out kitchen ready for cooking, we did expect Miner amenities like dishwasher liquid and dishwasher tablets but Will provided The dryer was faulty and would not work. The dishwasher was faulty and did not work. The hotel advertises free Wi-Fi however that Wi-Fi is 14 stories lower in the basement which means it’s in accessible from the rooms. We were forced to use our own mobile phones as Mobile hotspots to simply access anything on the web including Netflix We had a major leak that became a parent after the boys had operated the second shower underneath the breakfast benchtop. The carpet was wet after close inspection. We detected a bit of mould underneath that benchtop along the wall and on the carpet. It seems this lake had been left unattended For sometime and the stitch of mould was strong and was simply unacceptable and uninhabitable. Arising the issue with reception. They organised another room for us two doors down on the same level with the same aspect. They simply swap the keys and we spent two hours configuring all our gear from one room to the other no assistance no help from the hotel After settling into the new apartment, we’ve restocked all our shopping and left it in the pantry area After putting on a wash we noticed foam bubbles coming out of the downpipe in the pantry area. Unfortunately we noticed too late because the water had submerged 3/4 of all our shopping. Surely not all rooms in this hotel would have the same issues that we experienced. We may have just been very unfortunate to have the run that we did had. We had stayed another two days. We probably would’ve relocated again third time lucky?? The Gold Coast is an incredible place. The hotel is in an incredible location however it’s very difficult for us to recommend this hotel given our experiences. Management at reception did tell us that we would receive a call from the hotel management regarding our stay We are still waiting for them to contact us… We will be reviewing our stay on Google stays and other accommodation review sites that we use regularly
