Disaster at Aanuka Beach (Last ) "Resort"

I stayed at this Hotel on a number of occasions and this time both on the way to Brisbane and for some reason on the way back. On the way north I booked for one night. I was NOT told that half the place was shut down for renovations. We were offered a bus to take us to a nearby "Resort" for Dinner which was ok On return I specifically phoned to ask if the restaurant had re opened and was told it would be by the time I arrived. This was NOT the case the restaurant opened the next night, so I had to drive into town and collect fish and chips .The next night they had invited half of Coffs Harbour so it took forever to get a table despite having a booking. Then I had to wait 50 minutes for the entree .Then After 40 minutes I began asking where my main course may be. Two waitresses disappeared somewhere without coming back to me with the third coming back saying my order had been lost. The next thing it appeared! I will never stay at this place again after being treated like garbage with no apology and being lied to despite being an Accor Diamond member.

The room i was given was amazing, Love the Spa and space and it is so quiet and peaceful. The facilities are amazing and so much to explore. The food is awesome a little on the pricey side for some things but taste amazing so worth it. The Beds are comfy and pillows are fluffy and not hard which is how i like them. Great overall set up. Would recommend room #2

What a disappointment....Based on the pictures on the website I knew this wouldn't be a 5 star resort BUT what I didn't expect was what i walked into. Our room was a dated and dirty a far cry from the advertising pictures where the use of the refurbished/renovated rooms are shown.... Its pot luck if you get a better room and no price reduction for the crappy #77 room (maybe its the worse one there... if you are the owner of it spend some $$$). From the master ensuite I couldn't use as the poor condition and the mass of spider webs and even crawling spiders. The rooms were filthy,gruby just plain dirty. I had to put a blanket on the lounge as it felt dirty and sticky..the only updated room was the second bathroom. But with the floor grout looked like either a build up of grime or mould it was gross. When you try and dry towels or clothes you then go for the dryer.. well it has a squell that would wake the dead....(note it needs to be teplaced) It's a shame about the location as it is a lovely spot but the room's really disappoint and by the sounds the staff and management can't or would do anything. Breakfree Anuka you reallyneed to lift your game. Please staff and management please pass this feed back to the owners of sub standard rooms. It's hard to advertise equally when the rooms are far from equall.

Terrible. Poor service, dated and nobody seems to know what is going on. They won’t honour Accor Status and club membership discounts or drinks vouchers. The information provided online, at check in and in the digital compendium is incorrect. Seems there is new management with lots of changes and staff don’t seem to know anything. The rooms are very run down and the beds are uncomfortable. The curtains don’t close so the sun shines on your face early in the morning.

Great hotel after all renovations completed, good customer service, rooms very cleaned, highly recommended, pet friendly also. Very well located, the bar one of the best to spend with friends, breakfast was also great, you can even make your own juice. Keep up doing the great work
