Pros: Lovely comfortable beds with crisp white linen A safe for putting valuables in Great staff Walkway to Ala Moana shopping centre Restaurants, Starbucks and shops in hotel Cons: NO kettle for boiling water to make tea for those (like us) who don't drink coffee NO crockery ( except for 2 mugs) or cutlery NO instructions on how to use the Microwave (we gave up trying) The pillows were very high

Superb location: a few blocks from Wikiki; across the street from the Ala Moana Beach Park, connected to the Ala Moana Shopping Mall, great staff: polite, helpful, friendly, personable, amazing Breakfast. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, free internet, All Good!

Ala Moana Mall is a "Must See" Mall in Honolulu.

I first went to this mall when I was young. It was in 1971. I never failed to see, again, when I am in Honolulu. Fir me, it has the nicest food court of sll the malls I have been to in the U. S. A. The macy's there dtill has its restaurant and bakery. It has a watch repair shop and the biggest cosmetics department. There are many interesting stores including a Tesla car dealership. There is a U. S. Post office by the parking lots. There are several good restaurants, too. There is a huge grocery store in the back. By the way, this is not my first review on TripAdvisor. I have been a member since 2010. For some unknown reason, it stated that I had no previous reviews and I have only been a member since 2023. That is not true.

The hotel was nice, the location and amenities were nice but I was disappointed in the lack of outdoor seating when the pool closes at 7:00 PM. One night the staff allowed us to take chairs to the "recreation area" as long as we put them back which we did, others weren't so friendly. There is absolutely no where to sit outside and enjoy the evening unless you go to another hotel. Tring to watch the sunrise and sunset was challenging depending on the pool staff. Other than that it was a great honeymoon! Shame the pool closes so early, most places are 9:00 or 10, this one is only open 7A-7P.

Don’t do it, noisy, dated, views of car park.

Noise, noise noise, no noise insulation, no extra glazing to stop outside noise, if I could cancel and not loose money I would move hotels. Road racer noise, next door showering noise, buses to the shopping centre. Only good thing about this place is if you want to shop till you drop, it’s perfect. Otherwise hell no, don’t do it. Mantra is a great hotel chain in AU, but this one they have aligned with, not even close. The hotel room, which is just a room, is dated, it has an air con right next to the bed, which is noisy if you want it to work, ie you have to have the fan turned up. Parking $39 a night, you might want to think twice about renting a car. But you need a car if you stay here, to get out of the place and only return to sleep. I would have given it one star, but the price being $300 AUD a night, was what I thought was reasonable expecting a descent hotel. Ohh well live and learn. As stated if I would not lose any money I would change hotels in an instant.. did I mention loose tiles, and mould under rim of toilet.
