When we checked in we were asked if we’d been told the lift was being refurbished so wouldn’t be available for our whole stay - we were put on the second floor and for a couple in our 60’s we found the stairs hard going - I think we should have been offered a discount in the circumstances

Excellent and friendly receptionist. She welcomed me with a smile and did everything she could to get me to my room with a minimum of fuss. Location is convenient, rooms are clean and tidy and restaurant / bar was great value for money. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 2 days on business, nice clean rooms, walls are very thin so you can hear everything your neighbor does including using the bathroom through the night. Bed was clean and comfy. Breakfast was really good except for the continental breakfast part the granola was empty, some empty fruit bowls and were uncovered. I had scrambled eggs and toast with baked beans. This was nice and tasty done well. The staff were very friendly couldn't fault it. Overall a good location easy walk into town clean rooms. Again my only negative was the thin walls.

One of my favourite regional hotels, I stay here often. Great location, food getting better (need more curries) good service. Special mention to Charli on night shift reception tonight. As it’s cold and I couldn’t find air con remote she hunted around and found one and got it going. A little thing but one that makes a guest feel valued.

Stay here quite often but no more. Each time over the last 5 years the experience has deteriorated. Reception and welcome had all the charm and warmth of a stilletto blade. The room had blown lights, a bath towel had marks all over it when newly unfolded, the body soap dispenser in the shower was empty and broken, desk lamp was bent and "damaged" carpet was wrinkled and lifting. Restaurant was closed on Sunday night. Staff training seemed reminiscent of Bunnings - all noise but little if any sincerity.
