Still a wonderful experience after 10 years

We have stayed again in a 3 bedroom suite after 10 years, and the room, the service and amenities have been maintained well if not better. It was an overall wonderful experience, from checking in as they have an online check in facility which I was able to do a few days before our stay, to dining in the restaurant and ordering room service, and checking out was a breeze as well. I understand parking is limited as we were only given 1 slot even for a 3 bedroom suite. I was able to avail a special rate with my Accor Plus membership, as well as discounts up to 50% off in the restaurants, although there was one instance I was not able to present my membership card and they couldn't apply the discount the next day when I realized they weren't able to apply the discount. We also enjoyed the hotel amenities like the heated pool and jacuzzi. Their locker rooms are very spacious and clean. I was able to shower and change comfortably even with my little daughter in tow. I also loved the buffet breakfast. Selections were sufficient enough, and everything tasted good. I loved the Salmon and cheese selections daily! Overall it was a pleasant stay and I love that it was a walking distance to The Podium Mall with really great restaurants.

Used to be under the Oakwood hotel brand. Several years back it was already under Accor management until pandemic started. Location is still the biggest asset , where you can access Robinson and the Podium on opposite sides. At the back of the hotel there is a Mini Stop convenience store , just a stone’s throw away. What I noticed is that the hotel still utilise the small desks placed in front of the door of each unit. Feels like the floor is still used for quarantine . The 1BR suite 2202 feels like a PWD friendly unit. Dated facilities and furniture, but somehow well maintained. Comfortable beds , and bathroom has a Tv ( which Oakwood used to have) . Serviced residence items are well supplied. While I noticed not having any form of welcome amenity as an Accor silver member, I kind of loved their usage of the ultra filtration system that makes tap water potable to drink. Liked the staff , who are humbly non intrusive yet you feel the good attentive service. The one manning the health club , indoor pool who took the liberty of opening the lights when I was taking photos,, the security detail facing the back end who gave me tips on where to find 24 hour stores,, I regret failing to get their names. Special thank you to Leneth of FD who gave a me a few hours head start to my check in time. With much gratitude. Well , last 2 things to point out . The fast secure Wifi , which was free. And the clincher , that sumptuous buffet spread at Nostalgia. Good and tasty selections matched by the lovely ambiance and their professional staff. Staycation worthy indeed.

Hotel: Stayed here at a 1BR unit a week back. Room was spacious and had everything we need. The tub in our room and the sauna & jacuzzi located in the 6F were definitely a plus. The Roof: Had quick drinks here during our stay as we wanted to check out the view. As expected, it was breathtaking (I wish I had a better camera to capture it). Service was equally great! We learned about their Sunday barbecue buffet, so my parents and I decided to come back and try it last night. I can say that it was super (!!!) worth it considering the spread of salads, ribs, ribeye, fish, and lamb, among others, that they offered. More people need to know about this for sure! I would like to commend Chef Raf for the perfectly seasoned and tender steak, which even my picky-eater senior dad enjoyed. Appreciate him taking time to interact with us as well as the other tables. I'd also like to recognize Joseph and Dana for the excellent service! In both visits, they were quick to attend to our requests. Joseph was the one who guided us to our table last night and ensured the drinks we ordered were served right away. Thanks for making us feel welcome! Props to the entire team for the overall experience. I'm definitely recommending this place to friends and colleagues and visiting again soon.

Very different now than before

The rooms tremendously changed since we last visited. We were put on 8th floor, 1br suite. The kitchen which I used to love was dilapidated now. Sink area has a lot of water damage. They used to have a fully stocked kitchen tools, not anymore. They had to wheel out the whole fridge because the one we had was not working. They replaced it with a fridge working but the freezer cant freezer anything, despite adjusting the temperature. It was very disappointing. They used to have tv in front of the bathtub, not anymore. Furnitures have damages on their finish. I am very sad because this was our favorite hotel. The luxury feeling is not there anymore.
