Every detail about angsana velavaru is perfectly executed from the pristine rooms with everything you never even think you need to the beautiful views from every angle, and the friendly hellos and good mornings from every staff member. Every single one was genuinely happy when you are happy with their service, and go over the top to take care of you. They have a great and diverse house reef that you can snorkel freely or guided depending on your preference every morning and plenty of other activities whether you want to be active or relax completely, which i did both. The spa was amazing, one of the better that i have had, and as an athlete i have had many. I did the snorkel trip to south ari atoll and got to swim with manta rays, which was something i really wanted during my trip. Been on a lot of boats, and the boat captain was very skilled at navigating a strong current in open water. The snorkel guide was really good at spotting the rays and making sure everyone had the chance to see them up close. I stayed both on the beach and in a villa, and while i was super happy with the beach room, the villa was unreal. Totally worth at least a couple nights especially with the infiniti pool over the crustal water, but be prepared they continually stuff you full of delicious food. It was my birthday while I was there and they decorated my bed and made me a cake as a surprise. Last but not least shout out to Charith for striking up conversation with me at dinner my first night and whenever we ran into each other around the island. As a solo traveler in a place with a lot of couples, it was great to have someone take the time to chat and laugh with me. Also thanks to fayaz, bazid, and the reception lady for looking after me and chatting with me as well. As you can tell, I felt like this place was worth every penny.

The hotel is very nice. We are staying in the beach villa 121-122, which, in my opinion, offers the best access to the sea on the island. The room, although a bit old, is well-maintained. Overall, it feels cozy. There is a garden behind the villa. When it comes to dining options, we tried two places. The buffet-style restaurant lacks variety in terms of European non-spicy food. However, the restaurant with the bar, where we ordered from the menu, serves delicious European dishes, including burgers and pizza. They also offer a wide selection of cocktails. The place is remarkable for a secluded holiday. The beach is just 10 meters away with its own sun loungers. If considering a trip in December, do note that after a sunny and calm November, showers and strong winds can be expected, affecting the weather. Nevertheless, our expectations were met, and we were not discouraged. A special thanks to our villa attendant Irushad for being a very friendly, attentive, and responsive person. Irushad made our holiday very comfortable by ensuring everything was perfectly clean in our room, the pool area, and the backyard. Overall, I highly recommend the hotel for a stress-free vacation that nurtures both your soul (offering serenity and tranquility on a cozy Maldivian island) and body (with spa services, snorkeling, diving, etc.).

A truly authentic Maldivian experience. Beautiful accommodation sympathetically blended into the coconut palms and abundant vegetation. A “private” space with easy access to the white coral sand beach and lagoon. Simple yet very rewarding shallow water snorkelling available from the beach with the option of a complimentary daily guided snorkelling excursion at various points around the large lagoon reef wall. The Deluxe Beachfront Villa has a very comfortable bed and a very secluded garden with external bathroom, open air shower and a lovely swimming pool. Completely private with views of the sky, sun and coconut palms. Returning to indoor showering is going to be a difficult challenge. All facilities very clean and tended to everyday by our wonderful Adil. His skills don’t end there as he created bed flower/tower art like no others we have encountered. He is also a lovely soul too. Thank you Adil. The team from managers downwards are the main reason this beautiful island functions so well. They are all so happy and kind hearted, even with all the extra Xmas preparations that they stayed late for each and everyone excelled in humanity, kindness and smiles. They are the reason we have returned for a second time. Hopefully not our last either. I would like to make a special mention for Hayden and his son Maseeh who looked after our every need in the restaurant and via reception. The most lovely team and family. Also Litu and all the Kurehdi bar team who always had a smile and spent time with us on a really human level which we adored. The Team are what make this beautiful island a special place. Finally the Fasil, Ageel, Nameeh and all the boat drivers who patiently enabled me to go snorkelling in such amazing places. Your company, knowledge and confidence were immeasurable. Thank you so much. All in all an even better second trip than our wonderful first visit to Angsana Velavaru.

This was the best service we ever had through out our traveling experience. Laila and Fayaz were awesome. They were very attentive and accommodating. We never had to look for them if we needed something. Sudheesh the bartender was wonderful. They all made us feel like family.

Ajij was the best part of the trip, so friendly and kind! The rest of the resort was a little disappointing but water was nice regardless :) we got a little Unlucky with the weather but what to do, better luck next time hopefully. Rooms were okay, food was okay, nothing amazing. However, staff was great 😊
