We had the most wonderful time at The Banyan tree. The people, the white sand, the food....everything was just perfect. Fatima especially, looked after us so well, she was amazing! Our villa was beautiful and opened up onto the beach. I would highly recommend the catamaran boat trip, swimming with sharks and stiff rays, and the the jet ski. We loved it that much that we are returning in March 🏝

An absolutely amazing trip, so beautiful.amazing food,wonderful staff and not to mention the wonderful water to snorkel in. will go there again.A paradise on earth. Can highly recommend Banyan Tree.

There are no words to describe this holiday. It is pure paradise. The Banyan Tree is paradise, everything and everyone was amazing. The villas are beautiful and they are cleaned twice a day. The food at the restaurants was out of this word. The attention to detail and the service was 5 stars. The spa was amazing. It was abit pricey but it was worth every penny. We did scuba diving and again the service was perfect. They went out of their way to accommodate us. The staff all over the resort went out of their way to make you feel like royalty. It is going to be hard adjusting to normal life back home!.. we had a wonderful time and look forward to returning. We snorkelled everyday and it was like swimming in an aquarium. It was a very relaxing stress free holiday. I would totally recommend the Banyan Tree, you will not be disappointed. We had a direct flight from London and then a 25 minute transfer from Male by speedboat. Everything went smoothly, no stress, no delays.

From the moment we were escorted to the speedboat at the airport Dock to waving goodbye three weeks[nearly] later our needs were meet with attention courtesy and an engaging smile . From first stepping [You will have to visit to find out about this] the beautiful Fatima contributed massively to our enjoyment assisting with planning our stay and co-ordinating activities. The room was spacious and well appointed [38] secluded yet just a few steps from the azure heaven of the Ocean . Fipit welcomed us for our first excursion into the culinary delights at Saffron and continued to charm us throughout our stay. The food was excellent, the service impeccable. Alman [what as smile] ,Nafiz [Ricemaster] and Abdhulla [always remembered our preferences, never let a glass be empty]. added greatly to the dining experience and Chef David [Viva Espanyol] prepared my favourite Steak Tartare. Muthu mixed our cocktails and charmed us with banter about his Indian heritage [ I hope my elephant joke wasn't offensive]. Nawaz surprised us almost daily with towel sculptures and saw that the villa was immaculate, well stocked and welcoming . We came to rest and apart from a daily visit to the gym just lazed about in the sun and surf , wined and dined an recharged our batteries. There was just enough going on to avoid boredom and the charm of the island [not to mention the convenient location] ensured we were sold on another visit later in 26 . I must commend Zendie who lavished us with his attention, saw to our every need and engaged in lots of interesting conversations despite his support for Liverpool FC. We're going to try the Banyan Tree in Morocco this summer, It was a pity we just caught the beginning of a storm which disrupted our flights home somewhat , but that is hardly the fault of BT. Five star in every respect , Well done , we are seasoned travellers with 400 nights of cruising and many wonderful holidays all over the world. This ranked right up there . One bit of advise, if you fill one suit case you've brought too many clothes , leave your shoes in reception when you arrive and put them on to travel home.

Once you see it, you wish you could stay here forever. The hotel is in a convenient location and easily accessible by speedboat in 25min. You might think that being relatively close to Male is negative, but once you reach the island all the doubts will disappear. The island is magnificent, perfectly maintained as well as the whole hotel. The house reef all around the hotel allows for very special encounters with tons of fishes, sharks, rays, turtles, etc. Shall you ever get bored by this reef, you can just jump on the boat and go to the nearby hotel and continue exploring. In any case the best thing is the service: Gulzar was excellent, she made everything to make our stay unforgettable and surprised us every day. The rest of the staff was also very caring and attentive to every need. The room was always spotless and serviced twice a day. The restaurants were all excellent, both in quality and service.
