Our stay in the Maldives was at the end of a tour of Sri Lanka. We were ready for some rest and relaxation. We were thoroughly pampered from the moment we were greeted at Male to the end of our visit. The island is beautiful, swimming in the lagoon and snorkeling on the reef was amazing. The accommodation was first class! Absolute decadence. Fairooz made our room comfortable every day and it was always immaculately cleaned. The food was absolutely wonderful, the service was always excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this fantastic resort and dream of revisiting soon!

Rating: 5/5 We had a truly unforgettable experience during our stay. We were hosted by Liu, the resort host, and she was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive, and she took care of us throughout our entire stay. Her warm personality made us feel so welcome and well looked after. The food was excellent, and the breakfast in particular was amazing—fresh, delicious, and with plenty of variety. All the staff were supportive and genuinely kind, which made a big difference in our overall experience. We were celebrating our honeymoon, and the hotel made it extra special. We were welcomed with complimentary fruits and traditional local spices, which we really appreciated. Our room was beautifully prepared, and every detail was just perfect. The resort was spotless, and the room was very clean and comfortable. Thanks to Liu and the wonderful team, it was a stay we’ll always remember. Highly recommended!

My wife and I recently stayed at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, and it was nothing short of magical. The island itself is absolutely stunning – a small slice of paradise for sure. Our villa was pure luxury, complete with a private pool and hot tub – the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the serene surroundings. Stepping out from our bedroom onto the beach each morning and listening to the gentle sounds of the water was a blissful ritual. All the staff were fantastic: warm, welcoming, and always attentive. We especially appreciated the thoughtful gifts left in our villa each evening and the genuine friendliness of everyone we met. One of the highlights was snorkelling around the coral reef just metres from the beach. I was lucky enough to see a reef shark and a hawksbill turtle which I was able to observe for what felt like hours! Meeting the staff in the Marine Lab afterwards to learn about the reef and their efforts to preserve it enhanced the experience even more. As vegans and vegetarians, we were a little unsure of what to expect with the food, but we were blown away. Every restaurant offered delicious, beautifully prepared meals that catered to our dietary preferences without compromising on taste or creativity. Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru is a truly special place, and we left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and already dreaming about our next visit.

We have had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Banyan Tree. Stayed for a week, with a family of 4 and we have nothing but praise for the hotel, many thanks also to the talented and super friendly staff at the hotel (many to highlight here but apologies do not recall all the names). A beautiful setting, the hotel has been around for many years but is very well maintained and the Villas have had an upgrade recently. We loved the design as it is not one of these modern hotels/resorts which could be anywhere, but a testament to Maldivian tradition and heritage. The food (especially the breakfast and the Thai restaurant) are also worth to mention, they do a nice job. We have done 8 boat dives with the resort, fantastic dive team and very new equipment and also here the dive guides have been very, very friendly and experienced. We just loved our stay there, and very, very likely will be back as it was just perfect overall.
