I recently stayed at Banyan Tree Samui, and the experience was truly unforgettable. Our Villa Host, Abby, was absolutely exceptional. She is a gorgeous associate whose hospitality went far beyond our expectations. Abby took care of every detail with warmth and professionalism, making our stay truly special. We stayed in Villa F07, which offered the most amazing view — peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful nature. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Samui. The resort itself is breathtaking, with lush greenery and a serene atmosphere throughout. We definitely plan to come back again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and nature-filled getaway in Samui.

I recently stayed at Banyan Tree Koh Samui and had an amazing experience. The service was exceptional and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I would like to give a special mention to Abby, who took excellent care of us throughout our stay. She was very kind, professional, and always made sure we were comfortable. The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained—perfect for relaxing and enjoying breathtaking views. I highly recommend Banyan Tree Koh Samui and will definitely return again. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

I had an unforgettable dining experience at Saffron at Banyan Tree Samui. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional, and the entire evening felt truly special. A heartfelt thank you to K. Ocha, K. Amy, K. Diamond, K. Melon, and K. Luna for their warm hospitality and outstanding service. Each of them went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect—attentive, professional, friendly, and consistently checking in without being intrusive. Their teamwork and genuine care made the experience memorable. The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was exquisite, and the level of service elevated the entire evening. I felt welcomed, well taken care of, and fully impressed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Samui. Thank you again to the amazing Saffron team for making this night so wonderful. 💛 If you’re visiting Saffron, I highly recommend trying these signature dishes—they truly made the evening unforgettable: 🌶 Yum Puu Nim Thod (Soft-shell crab spicy salad) – Perfect balance of crispy, tangy, and spicy. A must-try starter! 🍋 Krapong Neung Manao (Steamed sea bass with lime) – Fresh, tender, and full of bright flavors. Absolutely delicious. 🦀 Por Pia Puu Sod (Fresh crab spring rolls) – Light, refreshing, and packed with real crab meat. 🔥 Phad Khee Mao Nua Yang (Spicy stir-fried drunken noodles with grilled beef) – Aromatic, bold, and incredibly satisfying. 🥥 Coconut Ice Cream – The perfect sweet and refreshing ending to the meal. Each dish was beautifully presented and full of authentic Thai flavor. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Hillcrest Villa, Exceptional Staff and Incredible Value One of Our Best Family Vacations Ever

We visited Koh Samui for an 8 day trip and Banyan Tree was our second hotel. We came here from New York, and honestly, I had spent 3 to 4 months researching, comparing, and going back and forth between Banyan Tree and Four Seasons before deciding. TripAdvisor reviews helped me a lot, so I am writing this to pay it forward, especially for families. WHY WE CHOSE BANYAN TREE We wanted dramatic views, privacy, and a peaceful villa experience, but something practical for a family of five which included my wife, our three year old daughter, my parents, and myself. A major factor was value because similar two bedroom options at other luxury resorts were nearly three to four times the price. Banyan Tree offered the right mix of luxury, space, and comfort without overspending. WEATHER MUCH BETTER THAN EXPECTED We were actually scared of the weather. We arrived during monsoon season expecting daily rain. But it did not rain once. The cloud cover made everything breezy, comfortable, and perfect for walking around. We ended up loving the weather. THE VILLA BOOK THE HILLCREST We stayed in a two bedroom Hillcrest villa for the first three nights, and it was absolutely perfect for us. What stood out most was the nighttime atmosphere. Watching the billows move across the bay, hearing the waves, feeling the night breeze, and seeing the mountains in the distance created a calm that stayed with us. Those quiet moments on the balcony were the soul of this trip. Our best family memory was all of us sitting on the balcony patio, talking, relaxing, and doing nothing. Just being together. The private pool was fantastic. It was warm, clean, peaceful, and we used it every day. Note for future travelers. The internal staircase inside the villa is steep. When we extended for one more night, our Hillcrest villa was not available, so we moved to another two bedroom villa without much of a view. That is when we realized something important. If you can get a Hillcrest or full ocean view villa, it is a complete no brainer. The view defines the Banyan Tree experience. BEACH AN UNDERRATED HIGHLIGHT The beach here does not get enough attention. It is clean, calm, and has real energy from the ocean. It reminded me of Esperanza Cabo, which says a lot. We loved spending time there. KIDS CLUB The Kids Club staff were incredibly attentive and warm. The space was clean, had good activities, and our daughter enjoyed visiting it. It is a great option for families. TRANSPORTATION Transportation was very easy. Grab was always available within a minute or two. Clean cars, polite drivers, and quick pickups. Getting around, including to Lamai Market, was effortless. SERVICE AND STAFF Service at Banyan Tree is warm, human, and thoughtful, and several people made a real impact on our stay. Beauty was our villa host. She was efficient, responsive, caring, and truly the heart of our stay. Tai at breakfast was cheerful and attentive, and he made our mornings special. Tle, one of the buggy drivers, was warm, polite, and always helpful. The Kids Club team was patient and sweet with our daughter. The beachfront restaurant staff made a beautiful impression on our first night. We had ordered Indian food using Grab, and they personally coordinated the delivery and helped set everything up. After a long travel day, we deeply appreciated this gesture. There were occasional inconsistencies in service, but the warmth and kindness of the staff more than made up for it. BREAKFAST Breakfast was excellent every day. Fresh fruits, juices, pastries, Indian items, and a breakfast manager who personally took omelette orders and introduced us to Thai omelettes made mornings enjoyable. DINNER We tried Saffron, the signature Thai restaurant. The ambiance is beautiful, but the food did not meet our expectations compared to the local restaurants and other resorts we visited. It was not bad, but it was not a highlight for us. SPA My wife had a flawless and on time spa treatment and loved it. My parents enjoyed theirs daily. My treatment was not exactly the style I expected, but the team handled the feedback politely. I recommend reconfirming your treatment type beforehand. ACCESS TO LAMAI One of the best things about Banyan Tree is how easy it is to reach Lamai Market. Shops, restaurants, beach massages, and night markets are only 5 to 10 minutes away using Grab. This combination of peaceful luxury and quick access to a lively area is rare and extremely valuable. In hindsight, I honestly regret not booking at least five to seven days here. Three nights simply was not enough for a place like this. OVERALL Looking back now, even days later, we still feel the magic of this place. It was truly special, the kind of experience that stays with you, and we would return in a heartbeat. If you can secure a villa with a great view, especially a Hillcrest, Banyan Tree becomes an absolute must stay in Koh Samui. We left extremely satisfied and would love to return on our next trip to Thailand.
