Avoid the noisy facing room at garden wing at all cost

I gave 5 stars to the services as all the hotel staff were super polite and warm. However, the hotel has a separate garden wing, which is across the street different from the main building. Initially I thought it’s ok when booking as it appeared to be a garden view with some quiet facing. However when I entered the room, it was facing a side street with an extremely poor sound proof and I could literally hearing ppl talking downstairs. We requested to change another room but unfortunately there was only another 2 room facing Main Street available, with similar but slightly smaller noises on a higher floor.Based on the floor plan, only 4-5 out of 25+ rooms per floor had such noisy facing and unfortunately we got such rooms assigned due to our late arrival and high occupancy. I switched to the new room but still could not sleep throughout the entire night and got waken up many times by the traffic noise. Suggestion to the hotel: don’t sell these 4-5 rooms with noisy facing, or do something about it such as at a cheaper price or provide ear plugs. Suggestion to travellers: don’t book the garden wing to avoid the risk, or try to reach the hotel earlier to get the quiet facing room.

Everything is great - staff, hotel, pool, food and drinks.

Stayed in the beach area building. The staff is amazing. The cocktails and breakfast are excellent. Everything is just as good as in the pictures. Simply stay and enjoy!

Great location and service

Very nice hotel in a great location. It has a very small beachfront and when the tide was up, there was really no beach at all. The water and beach were filled with litter, which was sad. However, the hotel itself is quite lovely. The pool runs the entire length of the hotel so it's very, very long. I was able to do laps one morning and had the entire pool to myself. In the afternoons, all the chairs were taken, and people seem to grab spots for the entire day even if they're not in their chairs. Some rooms open up right onto the pool! The service here is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was quite good. The included breakfast buffet offered so many choices. Our room was large and filled with amenities. It was comfortable and quiet. Very nice. We slept well. Easy to walk everywhere from this location.

Mercure Chaweng We stayed here in a beach wing, pool view deluxe room for two nights in January. What a great hotel! Rooms are a good size and well decorated. Lots of bench space in the bathroom, which is a rarity these days. Good shower with overc head rain shower and hand held also. Bed is comfortable, air conditioning is cold. The vibe of the hotel is very relaxing and peaceful and you have direct access to the beach from the pool and the restaurant. The buffet breakfast is good and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The pool is cold, but refreshing and they have a swim up bar with multiple different happy hours throughout the hotel. I will defintely be back to stay on my next trip in May Our platinum Accor status was recognised at check in, no room upgrade due to the hotel being at capacity

The hotel is spectacular and exceptionally clean. Our room was spacious, featuring a king-size bed and a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We did encounter a very noisy couple in the room next to ours, but the front desk staff—especially Nancy—went above and beyond to ensure our stay remained peaceful and comfortable. Housekeeping also did an excellent job, making sure our room was cleaned daily. The restaurant staffs were amazingly friendly and helpful, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Special thanks to Napa, Poppap and Rai who were extremely generous and attentive. The pool bars serve excellent cocktails, which we truly enjoyed. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making our stay so comfortable and memorable.
