We booked three nights for four people and when we arrived at the hotel we were told that there were no rooms available for us. We found another hotel but Tall Trees Canberra have kept our money and will NOT refund it. Stay away from this business.

Our room had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. Property is a motel rather than a hotel. We found it noisy at night as a large group in several rooms were congregating outside. Staff member on arrival was pleasant although our allocated room wasn’t ready so he swopped us. Didn’t see any staff on departure

Very poor service.We stayed 4 days and had to ask for more milk for tea and coffee.Asked for more bottled water and informed only 1 complimentary bottle per stay. Room not made up every day. TV not working waited over 2 hours for it to be looked at

Pros The staff are friendly. Good car park for those who have travelled by car. Lots of rooms Good for a one night stay Price Cons Tv only had one channel We were not informed that the rooms were not to be serviced during our five night stay (even though they have signs on the door that say Make Up My Room). Garden waste on front verge had been there for some time. You could tell because it was quite dry. Leaves had built up in various areas of the complex giving the impression that garden maintenance was not a priority.

We had a really good overnight stay here (we hadn’t stayed since it became an Ibis and were a bit dubious give some of the reviews). However, room and bathroom were clean, plenty of storage space, a comfortable bed and complimentary water. The shower was hot with good pressure. Reception were friendly and accomodating and speedily helped us an air conditioning problem. Free parking on site is also a bonus, as was the discovery of a microwave and a basin you could actually get the jug under the tap to fill (often a problem). So all in all not luxurious but very acceptable as a Canberra base.
