Higher floor rooms are nice

Nice hotel if you get a higher floor. My 7th floor room had a good view but the lowest floors would have no view. Everything else good: friendly staff, excellent breakfast buffet, nice Asian restaurant "Mr Good Guy" downstairs. Convenient location, ten minutes walk from the waterfront and the Skybus airport shuttle stops right at the door.

Good stay, good location, gorgeous view but they could make improvements

Good location. Many tours will pick up from Travelodge next door so that is handy. We stayed 10 Days and found buffet breakfast every morning to be ordinary and same same. They did not change up any menu options and it was limited anyway. Coffee and tea very basic. Comparing to other hotels we have stayed in like Pan Pacific or Rydges - Ibis is very average. Rooms very small but with a beautiful view of the harbour. Lovely pool. No water in fridge in room. Housekeeping did not change our sheets until 5th day and only after I had asked. Overall though still ok. Would stay closer to harbour next time and would check out things like breakfasts and if they change things like they do at other major hotels. For the money I would expect more.

Ibis Styles, Hobart, Tasmania: Hobart tourism is on a steep rise, what more with the 80th Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht race going on. Ibis Styles is in a great location – Hobart CBD and you can go on foot to most of the sights – 10-minute walk to the twee battery point, 10 min walk to Elizabeth Pier where you catch your ferry rides (be sure to get on Posh Pit MONA ferry to the whimsical MONA. 10 min to Constitution Dock for your traditional fish and chippers. The shopping stretch and Woolsworth is 10 min away. Hobart hotels can cost an arm and a leg during peak season like December and Ibis Styles is the most reasonably priced. Rooms are spartan, clean, simple and no frills. What everyone loves are the pool with a sliver of a view of the Tasman Sea, 2 decent saunas and a smallish gym (equipment out of order unfortunately). These were packed every night. Swim in the serene morning and you get the pool to yourself, plus a good far away view of the sea. There’s also laundry onsite (payable and $4 per machine). We didn’t dine at the restaurant, but it looked pretty hip. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Basic hotel with convenient location in the center of Hobart. The Hotel has everything you basicly need to stay a couple of days there. The room was small but cozy and clean. Various and tasty breakfast.

Great location and walkable to most Hobart attractions. Room is small but well equipped and very clean. Very quiet and no issues with airconditioner which was extremely quiet. Tea and coffee supplied daily along with housekeeping . Would definitely recommend for a stay.
