This is probably the only IBIS styles hotel I've stayed in that has a swimming pool, sauna and gym. The swimming pool is very nice but it’s very cold. I can see the sea view from the pool side. The hotel is very new and the lobby is very bright. There is also a small area for children to play. Although it's not big, it's very considerate. The room is basic. Although I didn't get upgraded to a room with the harbor view as a platinum member but I was very grateful to be upgraded from a room with no view to a high floor with the nice Mountain View. I saw the stunning sunset from my room. It is a great value for money to stay here. The only thing I don't recommend is their restaurant. The food tastes not good but the restaurant waiters were friendly. Overall, I recommend this hotel to everyone.

My wife and I arrived around 3:30pm from the Hobart airport via Uber. Travel time in good traffic was around 20 minutes. Check in went very well. Our room was towards the end of the hallway on the 5th floor. Opening the drapery in the room led to a view of the neighboring hotel. A relatively close view. So we never had our rooms draperies open. No big deal. The room looked good, and it smelled good. We had enough room for the 2 of us. Everything worked well. Bathroom and shower was big enough. Our room was well insulated from outside noise, and hallway noise was nonexistent. The beds were very comfortable.Breakfast was very good. Plenty of options, and there was some rotation of items over our couple days visit. We did not leave hungry. 1 morning the large breakfast area was fairly quiet, 1 morning fairly busy, then 2 mornings it was ridiculously busy. There seems to be a lot of tour groups that stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a wonderful location for walking. We walked in all directions from the hotel. And our 3 bus tours we booked over 3 days had pickups from very close to the hotel, to a very short walk from pickup. Very easy. We enjoyed our stay, and I would absolutely stay there again.
