This hotel is centrally located and very convenient for the heart of town with good access to the port area, to restaurants and the museum and in the morning it took no more than 10 minutes or so to the airport. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with very good bed, large and with beautifully textured clean crisp sheets, great shower and bathroom and a small balcony with views through to the sea. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices and ours was made available early for our early morning airport departure. We would strongly recommend this hotel especially if you need parking because a serviced parking facility with reduced rates for hotel patrons occupies the basement.

ibis Styles Heraklion Central is very well positioned in the city centre, and it is in walking distance from most of the sightseeing points and from public transportation. My room was excellent, quite big and with a balcony. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked well and was not noisy. Insulation from outside noise was very good. The bathroom was also very good. Everything was in perfect working order, and the hotel was spotlessly clean. Wi-fi worked well. Breakfast was very good and with several choices available. Staff were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. All things considered, the very best ibis hotel I visited so far.

Excellent hotel choice in the middle of the old town

This is an excellent choice if you are looking for a hotel in the middle of the city and an easy walk to everything including the port. The hotel is modern and the rooms are large, comfortable , clean and well maintained. The included breakfast is excellent with a large variety of food items. Staff were friendly and helpful! The location is ideal with many stores, restaurants and interesting sites near-by. A recommendation for lunch/dinner is Notio Archipelagos which is a 8 minute walk, right on the sea, just west of the port and features outstanding food and good prices. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Feom the moment our family arrived until we left, we were treated with respect and humility. We were given juice upon arrival and even though it was not check in time, they held our bags so we could explore Heraklion. My grandmother, who was not feeling well, sat in the lobby, and they bought her hot soup and tea. The rooms are nice and roomy and slept 4 of us with plenty of space to spare. The concierge arranged transportation for us to the port to the ferry for a minimal fee. I would stay here again!

Loud Music from Adjacent Bar= No Sleep

This hotel is immediately adjacent to an outdoor bar that absolutely BLASTS dance music all night long (still on after 2a). It’s not the hotel’s fault, but you will not be able to sleep. It’s that loud. The rooms on the ocean side probably don’t hear the noise, but the rooms on the other side certainly will. Not worth taking a 50% chance of not getting any sleep. I called the front desk and asked if we could be moved to the other side of the building away from the bar, but the response was “it’s a city, it’s loud everywhere”. Well, I’ve had great quiet nights of sleep on big cities all over the world. We also walked all over Heraklion and didn’t hear blasting music in other areas. On the plus side the location is close to the port, so you can easily walk to get your ferry. Otherwise it’s a pretty standard business hotel. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast wasn’t anything special, but fine for a quick meal before heading out.
