We had a great four night stay at the Mercure Hotel Schweinfurt Maininsel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We paid a few euro extra for a view of the river which as an added plus. The property is a short walk to Schweinfurt's central square which is home to restaurants, cafes, and bakeries. One of the managers -- Frau Gassauer -- deserves special praise. She made the extra effort to reach out to ensure that we were having a good visit.

I have been to the Mercure at Schweinfurt several times. This Hotel is just one of my favourite Hotels in that Area. It is located beautifully and silent at the river and just simply has one of the most believable, friendly ladies at the desk you can wish for. Want to check in a little earlier? no Problem here. Need something? She will find you a solution. The Hotel rooms could need a makeover in the next year. I never had any breakfast here, because there are so many options outside. Schweinfurt hasnt that many options to sleep, so be sure that you can book here without any regrets.

I only stayed for one night on business. Received a warm welcome from the Queen of the Island 😎🇩🇪🙌. The location is rather beautiful overlooking the river. The room was spotless. I ate in the restaurant that evening and both food and service were great. All the staff spoke excellent English which made my stay more relaxed. Many thanks 🙏

Very friendly welcome at check in, fast check out, comfortable bed. Noisy church bells in the morning, and overall impression that it has not aged well. Carpet was stained and the bathtub looked just awful. Not a nice sight first thing in the morning.

We stopped at this hotel to break up our drive back to Berlin. It is in a good location by the river and one can walk into the city center. The staff seemed very nice and we felt welcomed at check in. They had a good wheelchair accessible room and we appreciated the small refrigerator. The room was spacious and clean but did appear well worn with stains on the carpet and very basic furnishings. However the hotel was priced fairly, it was quiet in the room and we slept very well.
