Very basic and noisy accommodation

This is absolutely not value for money, the price is way too high for the type of accommodation. I do not agree this is a 3 star rated accommodation. The noise level from the main road to the side of the hotel is constant all night and is loud enough that the bed may as well be on the road. There was a funky smell upon entering the room and as much as I sprayed and aired the room it didn’t seem to disappear. Very basic accommodation and not a restful nights sleep. The restaurant and bar were closed the whole weekend. The laundry room was filthy, if you dropped any clean laundry you would have to re-wash it!

Stayed for 5 nights with the family, as soon as we entered the room it has a very musky smell. TV was too small despite having a great channel selection. We had to go buy some glen20 and new pillows and a blanket as they were quite old and flat. Even had to buy a toaster and a new kettle. As for amenities the pool wasn’t heated and the spa didn’t work. There was no bbq which was advertised. The bathroom was just renovated so that was nice. Overall the place needs modernising so I probably won’t go back anytime soon.

Room is super basic, but clean. Wifi cut out at 8pm, never to return. No restaurant, but very expensive room service menu with limited choices for non meat-eaters (meat allergy). When I was checking in, front-of-house staff were not empathetic to my situation and were impatient. Very difficult to find using gps. Blink, and you'll miss the turn off. Situated on a corner of 2 major roads, bring your earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Booked here because we are Accor gold members. A mistake. Room was ordinary and the pillowcases on our bed were not even ironed. I asked for our free drink and we're told 'We don't do that here'. Not in keeping with the usual Accor standard. This property needs a renovation. The plus was that the room was a reasonable size and it was in a good location to travel to the city on public transport.

Prison comes to mind.

Overall it was a good stay,my room was old and dated admittedly but in good condition and very clean. I booked it last minute. As a truck driver I was happy with a bed and be able to stretch out for 2 days but the little things around the place annoyed me the longer i was there. The television didn't pick up a channel and was about 20 years old. The fridge didn't work so my food defrosted, The guest laundry was out of order so I couldn't wash my clothes, the pool was clean but had a padlock on the gate, as it was nice weather I was disappointed that I couldn't enjoy it. Same with the restaurant, was closed so you could have a meal but confined to your room. I Had dinner in my room one night and the food was delicious so compliments to the chef there,as well as the girl on reception.very polite and professional. Would I stay there again? No probably not there was to much left me frustrated to go back. And to make matters worse it doesn't seem like I can even get points for staying there.
