This hotel is steeped with history and is located in the heart of Nairobi. Built in the ‘30’s it boasts old world charm with current amenities. An excellent spot to lay one’s head while enroute or in town for a few days.

I brought my friend for Festive High Tea and an overnight stay as part of her birthday celebrations. I’d only mentioned it in passing but the staff sang happy birthday when the high tea was brought out which was nice. I booked the high tea for 1pm and we were slightly late, being seated at around 1:15pm. The high tea actually arrived at our table at 2:40pm so we were waiting for 1hr and 25 mins for it to come which was not great. However, we weren’t in a rush and when it did arrive it exceeded my expectations. The presentation was superb and the food was absolutely delicious. We used the pool which is over looked by 1970’s architecture buildings. The pool itself was nice and warm and a decent size. We had a nice swim. We had a twin room and the beds were slightly larger than an average single but not quite a queen size. They were really comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The shower leaked water from the door where the seal didn’t quite meet the wall and the floor towel was soaked when I got out, but inside the shower it was great! Nice hot water and decent pressure. Had a drink and a light meal (still full from high tea!) in the evening at Cin Cin bar and the service was amazing. The staff were great, service was fantastic and overall we had a great time. Little things didn’t stop us enjoying the ambiance, the setting, the food or the facilities. Bed was amazing and would stay here again.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and every single person who works here! The place is immaculate, gorgeous, comfortable, squeaky clean, and so friendly. Far exceeded our expectations in every way, including all the food (which is absolutely amazing) and the beautiful pool, spa and grounds. We booked excursions and drivers through the hotel and are very glad we did, because they really went above and beyond giving us tons of local info on culture, the city, language, etc. I have never experienced this level of excellence and pride in their service as I have experienced here. We had a medical emergency while here and they took care of logistics in a rush, which was an enormous relief and blessing. We like it so much here we are planning to book again at the end of our trip, so we can be close to the airport and enjoy a relaxing few days before going home. An enormous thank you to all who have made our stay so incredible!

Stayed here upon landing in Nairobi before starting our safari adventures. Great location, great hotel and excellent staff. Friendly happy people all around. Room was comfortable and luxurious. I wish I could stay a couple of days at some time in the future instead of just a stop over, but being there for one night is still amazing.

The history of the venue is fascinating. The interior is opulent and beautiful . Sincere thanks to the receptionist that gave us a warm welcome and organised an early check in. The room was comfortable with an outside seating area . Getting hot water from the shower was challenging. Pool area was lovely as were the stunning grounds . Serenity abounds in this oasis of calm .A welcome escape from the busy and vibrant streets of Nairobi . Breakfast was very good but the room it was served in was very chilly .A memorable stay in lovely surroundings. Thank you to all staff
