We spent four nights here in March 2025, and the stay was literally outstanding. The room was great, the restaurant and bar superb, but what made it so memorable was the staff. They were all first class ambassadors for the hotel and for the country. We had breakfast every day and dinner every night in the hotel restaurant, the Cafe d'Angkor, The food was outstanding and the chefs came and chatted to us on each visit, suggesting options (my wife is vegetarian) so we were both able to enjoy Khmer food options, The Elephant Bar is just the perfect place to relax after a long day visiting temples; the elephant bar gin was great, as were the negronis. We are already planning to visit again next year, and would not choose any other hotel for our stay. We both travel a lot, and I can honestly say that this was as perfect a hotel as I have ever stayed in.

Elephants Never forget Grand d'Angkor's Elephant Bar

The Elephant Bar at Raffles Grand d'Angkor Siem Reap has the ultimate in heritage hotel atmosphere from the Golden Age of Travel. Whether at the bar or a small gathering table, the four legendary cocktails make it hard not to try each one. The Singapore Sling is from the original Long Bar recipe from Raffles Singapore. It is matched by the Grand d'Angkor sling that is not to be missed either. Jacqueline Kennedy's favorite here is named Femme Fatal. However, my favorite is the Airavata served in a pottery vessel with 3 elephants from the Wat Thom ruins that is garnished with a pineapple top and column that is either a trunk of an elephant or stupa from the ruins. Along with these or your favorite cocktail comes 3 house made tasty snacks. Come. Stay. Return. Stay. Enjoy. Then wish that you could return!
