Ayant eu le privilège de séjourner au Raffles, je me dois de partager mon coup de cœur absolu : l'Elephant Bar. Dès l'instant où l'on franchit le seuil, l'atmosphère est envoûtante. On y retrouve l'élégance de la « grande époque », avec cette ambiance feutrée et sophistiquée qui nous transporte. C'est l'endroit parfait pour se détendre après une journée à explorer les temples. L'accueil est à la hauteur de la réputation de l'établissement : chaleureux et impeccable. Le service est discret mais toujours attentif, ce qui contribue grandement à l'expérience. Mais ce qui fait de l'Elephant Bar une adresse légendaire, c'est sans conteste la qualité de ses coktails mais surtout de ses martinis

Magnifique hôtel colonial. Les chambres sont très belles, et toutes avec vue, sur la piscine ou les jardins. Les parties communes sont très sympa, le bar, la piscine, des terrains de tennis et un super spa avec jacuzzi, sauna et hammam inclus. Le personnel est au petit soin, de l’arrivée où ils vous ouvrent la porte et vous amènent des serviettes pour vous rafraîchir à la chambre où ils passent plusieurs fois par jour pour tout checker, déposer des fruits et gâteaux, et vous ouvrir le lit le soir. Enfin, le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel, il y a de tout, et très bon.

Le Raffles de Siem Reap est un hôtel magnifique, dont le bâtiment, empreint d’histoire, provoque un véritable effet wow dès l’arrivée. La vue d’ensemble, le hall majestueux et la gentillesse extrême des portiers marquent immédiatement l’esprit. Nous étions venus pour trois nuits. L’accueil a été chaleureux, mais notre arrivée a malheureusement été ponctuée de nombreuses difficultés nécessitant l’intervention d’un responsable, que nous remercions encore chaleureusement ici. Je n’entrerai pas dans les détails, mais son intervention a clairement amélioré notre séjour. Nous avons ensuite été surclassés en suite Coloniale, un très bel espace avec beaucoup de cachet et une jolie vue sur le jardin. Mention spéciale pour la literie, excellente. La salle de bain est toutefois assez petite, et l’isolation sonore pourrait être améliorée, aussi bien vis-à-vis de l’extérieur que des espaces voisins. La piscine est superbe, bien intégrée au cadre, même si le service autour n’est pas toujours aussi réactif qu’attendu. Même constat au restaurant, avec une qualité des plats excellente, mais un service parfois inégal (45 minutes pour avoir deux plats lors d’une première expérience …). L’Elephant Bar, en revanche, propose un service impeccable et des cocktails absolument délicieux dans un cadre unique. Afternoon tea offert une fois avec le statut ALL. Excellente prestation ! Le spa, quant à lui, offre une prestation correcte, mais qui n’atteint pas le niveau d’exception que l’on pourrait attendre d’un établissement de ce standing notamment au regard des prix pratiqués. Enfin, nous avons réservé l’expérience Raffles de découverte des temples d’Angkor en scooter : tout simplement incroyable. Certes, le tarif est élevé comparé à ce qu’on trouve en ville, mais l’expérience est exceptionnelle et parfaitement organisée. Je la recommande vivement. Check-out tardif accordé à 14h et départ très chaleureux par l’équipe ! En résumé, un très bel établissement, plein de charme, qui a su nous offrir un bon séjour malgré un départ difficile. On en attend néanmoins parfois un peu plus en termes de service et sur les détails … compte tenu du positionnement et de la marque Raffles.
