It was great - the concierge service before hand was excellent and they helped us arrange spa visits as well as a dog walker for our stay. They pampered us and our pup and we all had a great time. David the valet (do not know his last name) was particularly helpful and friendly and always took time to speak with Detour (our Wonder Dog) and give him the odd treat. Janice loved the spa visits and we generally had an excellent time.

Enjoyed the stay, but the rooms are outdated for what the pricing is. There are no USB plugs for devices and not nearly enough outlets for a family of 4 to stay charged up. Plus the bill that added on a fee that covers the amenities of the Hotel is ridiculous. We are staying at you hotel, why are you charging us more to use the amenities? Build it into the cost of the room, upcharges are extremely annoying to me.

We enjoyed our stay. We had a slope side view from our rooms which was perfect. The atmosphere in the hotel is one of warmth and homely. All staff we encountered were professional, curtious and very accommodating. What a wonderful location and amazing facilities.

We booked the suite and I found it nice. I found the hotel to really Nicole and dime people. For a fridge, in a $600+ a night room was $10 extra. The portobello Resturaunt was awful! Had a few drinks and the family had a small bit to eat, food was below par, and the bill was above par……most of the staff were nice. Some broken items in room (blinds etc)

Housekeeping entered the room twice while I was asleep @10.30 am and 11 am. I don’t know why guests were disturbed before the checkout time.

Attended the VRCA leadership forum. Rooms were comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was unfortunate that the buffet dinner we had - had poor and extremely limited wine selections and the food was not replenished quickly enough and people were having to stand and wait for new trays of food.
