The actual stay was delightful. But, two issues leave a bad taste in my mouth. 1) I have to watch my credit card statement daily to make sure I am not double charged, as the room charge appears on my statement now 4 days after, even though I settled with gift cards at check out. Frustrating to have to watch this daily and hope it is removed, or go through a lengthly process to prevent myself from being double charged a week later. 2) Jen in customer relations (who answered my calls) told me, in no uncertain terms, that I will NOT BE CONTACTED by this AAA rated resort if my id and credit card are found. That is extremely disappointing and seemingly uncaring of the Fairmont guests as fellow human beings. What a policy.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback in this survey and it is disappointing to hear about the service lapses which occurred during your recent stay. I would like to extend our sincerest apologies in regards to the telephone conversations that left you feeling frustrated and disappointed. I can assure you that we absolutely do our best to return lost items to our guests. I have confirmed that our Lost and Found department have your contact details. They are aware of the severity of a lost credit card and identification and will be contacting you if they are found within our property. Regrettably, at this moment in time, we have not located your items. In regards to your billing concerns, I can see that you settled the majority of your folio with Gift Cards. The only payment that will remain on your credit card statement is for an amount of $62.21. I can confirm that the pending transactions you see on your statement are pre-authorizations. The pre-authorizations are automatically removed from the pending portion of your statement anywhere between 5-7 business days after departure. I am confident that the pre-authorizations will have been removed from your statement by the end of this week. I would like to apologize that this wasn’t successfully communicated to yourself upon arrival or departure. The disappointing service you received does not adhere to our Fairmont brand standard and the appropriate measures have been taken with the colleagues in question. Rest assured we have taken your feedback to heart and have used this as a coaching opportunity to prevent future occurrences. First, context. I stayed this time in an Alpine suite since I wanted to dine out and not use the Gold floor - amazing new Renos but I needed more space as well since I work in my room. The desk was amazing but the room did not feel like home away from home familiarity. Coffee machine under the sink, oh, no sink but you get the idea. Fan would not turn off in the bathroom. Sofa should be on the other side of the room and desk reversed utilizing the counter. Loved the dark hard wood floors, beige texture wall paper and design. Not a great view looking down on a roof and wall but if you sit on the other side of the desk, your view improves. Here's the biggest issue that I struggled with but I've decided to share. Your staff in the Wildflower lodge are the worst I've experienced - anywhere. Sunday night, I arrived after the farmers market. Each day for the next 5 days I ate breakfast at the Wildflower - great juice bar and chef. On Monday, 7 am - no one was in the restaurant. The red head short host checked me in then stated to follow her. She did not go to the window side but instead in the middle away. I could see her talk before with the philopino waitress who's been their 14 years say she did not want guest in her section. I told her I wanted to see at the back by the window for space for my dog. Agreed and it was done - reluctantly on her part. The next day, same routine. No one in the restaurant but one young man who's not a guest at the hotel sitting at the spot I go to - table 51. She said my table was occupied today then I heard them laugh and snicker - playing games and border line harassment. The waitress poured coffee each day although I ask for espresso the first day. For one week, she continues to pour coffee and mixes my order. I had the same omelette breakfast each morning but she'd bring potatoes on the plate, wrong bread and pour water from the jug sideways to get ice into the glass. I don't drink water with ice and the container is designed to pour and withhold the ice for a reason. Sadly, on Friday, she had to train another new hire which I was shocked - two terrible employees who hampered the experience. Mental health issues or other problems being projected is un acceptable. Thew waitress comments about being against corporations and Whistler being run by millionaire and billionaires showed her true colours. I come from Big Pharma and proud of it. I hope this helps. Its an issue. Your parking stay are great, Clayton is solid and everyone speaks highly and positively of the resort but notice the changes in mood and gap between workers and management. Whiteboards for staff ideas would help bridge the gap and more visibility. Dave, the manager of the Restaurant was great at his job. A big loss for your hotel.

Overall, the service was excellent. But the room wasn't as clean as we expected. All the furnitures were very dusty and the bed was really dusty.

Disappointing. Fairmont Gold staff were amazing, everything else fell short

My room was great, as would expect paying $400 night for Fairmont Gold rate. The staff in the Gold Lounge were superb as I have come to appreciate at a Fairmont Property. The food however was terrible. Found mold in 3 separate meals. All of the fruit had mold spots. Had first nights dinner in lounge. My server was friendly but clearly had too many tables to take care of and could tell she was slammed covering inside and out. I ordered steak & frites. The steak was inedible which was made worse when couldn't even cut with the steak knife. My last morning I had breakfast in Wildflower. After 5+ minutes of waiting at hostess stand and seeing no one waking around restaurant though there were 2 tables, I walked up towards kitchen where I could hear conversations. Ran into server who told me to wait at hostess desk. When finally seated my service was slow and order completely wrong. I will admit I did ask if possible to have 1/2 order of pancakes but asked for side of sausage and potatoes and if could get 1/2 order of pancakes. She said i could get childs order. I received sausage, potatoes, tomato, asparagus and toast. No pancakes. Then ordered a side of fruit which again came all moldy so at this point so annoyed and sent back. I am sympathetic to reduces tourist numbers but honestly when I received my bill of $1780 for a 2 night stay and think of terrible service, inexcusable wait times, poor attitudes and inedible food I will be putting Fairmont properties on bottom of my list to frequent again.

As always, we enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont Whistler. The pool area is our favourite and we’re happy to have a two-hour time slot to enjoy it (many properties only give you an hour in covid-times). The service was great for the most part and the little extras, like robes for the kids, were appreciated.

Very nice Resort, excellent service , and very good price , very good location , don 't need rental car , hotel provide Shuttle every 10 minutes to Villages. I recommend this resort ?I will come back next year
