I was very disappointed that unscented toiletries were unavailable during my stay. The request was in my profile and it took three inquiries after check in to learn they were not available. In the end the offer was made to send an associate out to purchase items at the airport pharmacy. I was not able to accept this offer not knowing what products would be available for purchase. Disappointment and frustration could have been avoided with the information at check in and has lowered my satisfaction.

We have stayed here in the past for 1-night stays but this year we stayed for two nights at the end of September and three nights at the end of October, at both ends of a trip to Japan. It was extremely convenient for us to stay there. Our plane from Ontario arrived in Vancouver at 12:15 a.m. and it was after 1:00 a.m. by the time we got our luggage. It was wonderful to have a hotel located at the airport. On our return from Japan, our flight arrived at 11:20 a.m. (after a long overnight flight) and we were generously allowed to check into our room right away at no extra charge. The room was clean and comfortable and the service fast and efficient.

I stayed here twice within a week as I connected through Vancouver to and from a trip North. I arrived late in the evening both times, which was unfortunate for me because I would have loved to have more time in the hotel. It’s an exceptional place for a layover and the direct access to the airport without having to step outside makes transit a breeze. My room was spacious and so comfortable, with a large soaker tub that I didn’t get to use (next time!). The hotel is modern and had all the amenities one would expect from a Fairmont. Bonus points for a well equipped gym that’s 24/7. I also ordered room service for a late dinner one night - service was quick and my meal was excellent.

After a long international flight over 9 time zones this hotel felt great. It is so easy to get to, very short indoor walking distance, once we were out of the baggage hall. We had a bite to eat and a couple of drinks, in the hotel’s bar lounge. Very good and friendly service there. The bedroom was very large, and overlooking the airfield. Very comfy beds, good soundproofing; we did not hear the aircraft noise. A well equipped gym as well. Not a cheap place, but well worth it after such a long trip.
