This is my second stay at the Fairmont Sonoma and it never fails to impress. The inside restaurant has some of the areas finest food and we have never had trouble getting a table. The lobby and grounds are a delight to saunter around or even stay, the outdoor pool lounge and bar is spacious and nice plus is that a section is surrounded by large trees which provides needed shade sometimes, and our room which was one of their suites was clean, and had all the comforts and amenities but what we particularly liked was the firewood and starter bundle for our fireplace. Of particular note is that the Fairmont Sonoma is walking distance to restaurants and other amenities which is nice, and we appreciate the self parking lot as valet gets expensive. The only things preventing this Fairmont from getting a 5 star from me was that our furnishings had quite a lot of visible damage and the grounds and buildings showed signs of neglect and deferred maintenance, but we still plan on coming back!

The facilities are wonderful as is the staff. I have gone there quite a few times over the years. The last two visits I felt the massages have gone from excellent to just good. The deep tissue was not as deep as expected. The facilities and other staff remain excellent and will keep me coming back.

The Sonoma Mission Inn Spa is heaven on earth. The staff is outstanding and the surroundings are absolutely stunning. I highly recommend indulging on the Smoked duck Panini from the spa cafe. It's so good you'll want to be alone with it... : )

Once my favorite — sadly, standards have slipped Fairmont used to be my absolute favorite, and I still have a lot of love for this place. But unfortunately, it’s been declining year after year. Many years ago, weekends featured live bands, and the rooms felt special: there were plush robes, slippers, and complimentary bottles of wine and water — small but meaningful touches that made the experience memorable. This time, the wine was still there, but noticeably cheaper, and I didn’t even feel like opening it. There was no complimentary water in the room — I woke up thirsty in the middle of the night and had to drink tap water from the bathroom sink. The robes weren’t provided either. My biggest disappointment, though, was the spa. They used to offer a lovely spread of light snacks: nuts, dried fruits, muffins, and cookies. Now it’s just apples and tea. When I asked about it, the staff explained that they had “switched to seasonal fruit” starting in April. If they had switched to strawberries, bananas, or grapes, I would have understood — but instead, they offered tired-looking apples that didn’t even seem fresh. And apples aren’t truly a seasonal fruit in April; they’re leftovers from last fall. It felt more like a cost-cutting move than an upgrade. Meanwhile, spa access now costs $69 on top of the room charges, which are $600+ per night. At this price point, I expect an outstanding experience — and sadly, that’s no longer what Fairmont delivers. Farewell, Fairmont. I will most likely not return. There are simply better options in the valley for this kind of money.

We do offer live music every Friday night during the summer months. and the 2025 season begins on May 30th! We hope we are able to welcome you back for our most popular summer activity. Because of the sustainable measures taken to remove all single use plastics from our resort, we made the decision to remove the water bottles from the rooms. Throughout the property we have water refill stations to refill your own reusable container, but we also understand that this doesn't help if you forgot yours at home. We are excited to announce that every room will soon have refillable glass water bottles that will help resolve this issue! We hear your concerns about the small bites at Fairmont Spa and will certainly share this feedback with our spa team! Your feedback is truly valuable and we appreciate all of your feedback. Thank you again for your comments as your feedback helps us create a more enjoyable experience for our guests. We hope to welcome you back to experience our Live Music again this summer, and to continue making memories with us in Sonoma.

Everything is great as always only one big problem You change the menu for dinner. It’s a lot worse than before. It will be great if you can return dinner menu as was last year. It was a lot of nice steaks and ribs lambs nothing is now like this. Everything else is great. I always nice people. Nice environment thank you very much.
