wonderful spa, terrible massage

The facility is SOOOOO nice. I love going there. I've been twice, got a massage each time, the first was ok, the second massage was bad. The therapist was very nice and professional but had very nervous energy, was literally shaking (no, not a massage technique) during the entire massage. The therapist also, thumped around a lot, didn't have a calming bone in their body. Was the worse massage ever! Next time going back for a facial or no service at all.

Fabulous suite. Great location to a variety of destinations… the coast, Muir Woods, Sausalito, and Napa. Loved Sante food selections and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff! Wine tasting in the lobby daily was a treat. Upgrading us to a suite was fabulous. Late check out was appreciated.

Disappointed in massage

The facial was fine, the massage disappointing. I expected based the fee, an amazing massage and was unhappy with just moving around and long pauses - not worth the fee - sadly. Won’t do it again. I felt as if I was just pushed around and not massaged. And there were periods of time when I thought heat be Asleep.

Quality but could have been better

My comparison base is over 20 years and three different stays. Seems that the intake staff is not trained well. We picked our way through the spa ourselves this time. Some help from the greeter but not complete. We were interested in massages, workout, and pool. We were told more than once that the SPA was unusually busy. My view is that your staff should make it feel more personal than a pro baseball event. Masseuse was great, staff not so good. Seems that training is needed everywhere.

Katelyn is the main server at the spa pool and she is exceptional! Attentive, friendly, kind and patient. Katelyn, Melissa, Babs. Sarah Eric. Eric #2, Craig, Christian, and the rest of the valet team are the main reason we come to this hotel many times each year.
