Room is huge however one third of the space is the closet which is useless. Room has old carpet even my white socks turn dirty. Valet parking 88usd which a quarter of the room price. Fitnes center is additional 20usd. Wifi you need to pay unless you are Accor member. Location of the hotel is up hill so very hard to reach when walking. Definitely not recommended. Service of the staff is alright.

We LOVED the hotel but really did not like the experience at Tonga. The restaurant was extremely overpriced for basic food. I only stayed at the Fairmont because I wanted to go to Tonga and I was pretty disappointed overall with the experience. The food wasn't good, it was over $80 dollars, and we didn't even finish it because it was that bad. Overall, the hotel and the staff at the hotel were amazing and attentive. I will stay at the Fairmont again but will never eat at the Tonga restaurant.

It has been my extraordinary good fortune to often visit and stay at the Fairmont hotel. I've also stayed at Fairmont in (arbitrary order) Santa Monica, Sonoma, Vancouver, Scottsdale, Ghirardelli Square, Berkeley, San Jose (I hear it has new owners) and most recently Toronto (@ Royal York).

Very nice hotel and great location.

It's an older hotel that is ideally located at the intersection of cable cars. It's also at the top of Nob Hill which allows for great views. They have a lovely courtyard and the rooms are very spacious, clean, and well appointed. Parking is $88/day but there are other parking options nearby. The food is expensive as to be expected, but many options nearby. The rooms are cleaned every night which isn't the norm these days.

The staff was great. I had difficulties with a flight cancellation and the staff accommodated me by extending my stay in the same room. The room service was fast. I like the room tablet ordering system, which is easy to use and efficient. Great location for sightseeing.
