We have stayed here before and had an incredible experience. This time around was very different. For starters, they put us in a room that was in need of repairs- the rug , the bathroom was dirty and the phone not working so we couldn’t call down to the front desk or house keeping. If we needed something we had to go down stairs. for one of our requests we asked for3 glass water bottles and 3 sets of towels. They brought us 3 towels ( not full sets with wash cloths etc) and 1 water bottle and said “ sorry we don’t have any more water bottle , is one okay?” With no offer to bring more when they got more bottles ??? We brought our two dogs - they gave us dirty dog beds with stains all over them. Last time we got a small CLEAN bed with a toy and water bowel for the dogs. This time it just seemed the were too busy or out of stock or didn’t have the time to offer a CLEAN AND EXCEPTIONAL experience - which I do expect for $800 a night. Totally changed my opinion and feelings about this hotel. the outside is gorgeous but just go for lunch or a drink. No need to waste the extra money staying the night.

Checked into room which had drawer full of used tissues. Gross! Called housekeeping but they are too busy. Frustrating

Gross tissues in drawer on arrival. Called housekeeping several times with no avail. Just apologies. Well worn furnishings and rugs. Not up to Fairmont standards. Disappointed

The hotel itself is beautiful, and everyone we interacted with at Fairmont was pleasant. Unfortunately, the overall experience was lackluster. We planned a quick getaway and chose to stay here largely because of the advertised holiday activities. After checking in, we stopped by Amaya for dinner. We didn’t have reservations, but the host told us the wait would be about 1.5–2 hours, took our name, and said she would call us when a table became available. We never received a call. We then went to the Social Club area by the ice-skating rink to ask about renting a cabana or reserving seating, but were told everything was fully booked as well. Eventually, we went to the back general admission area and managed to grab something to eat. This is where the frustration really began. As the evening went on, we noticed multiple tables and cabanas emptying out well before closing. It was unclear why we weren’t at least placed on a waitlist. Since we had time to spare, we walked around the property and also noticed that Amaya was nearly empty—well before our supposed wait time of 7:45 pm. We had even told the host that we were open to outdoor seating. As hotel guests, it was disappointing to feel that there was no real benefit to staying on property unless reservations were made far in advance or you planned to stay in your room the entire time. For the price, it would make more sense to save money and simply visit for the experiences, which are open to the public, rather than staying overnight.

I came into the Fairmont to resolve a reservation issue and Dylan T working at the front desk was absolutely amazing. I had attempted to reach someone 3 times through the concierge to no avail, and decided coming to the property would be better. Dylan listened intently, and got to work immediately to resolve the issue. He was kind, professional and extremely resourceful. I am so appreciative that he took the time to resolve the issue with care and professionalism. Dylan deserves recognition for his amazing customer service!

I spent four nights here recently, and I can’t recommend the hotel enough. Staff was great, always one step ahead. We would love Amaya for breakfast as well as a nice dinner one night.
