Really helpful staff, I had my booking cancelled at a different hotel due to some flight issues. So I sought out another hotel and I wanted a chain hotel so that I knew there wouldn't be any issues arriving late. I found a price on the Accor app much higher than the hotels.com app. So I booked with hotels.com and didn't think about it until I arrived. Upon arriving I saw that what I had booked was for a week from then, the app had populated future dates to show cheaper stays and I hadn't noticed. I tried to change the date and pay the difference, but the app wanted to cancel my stay and charge me the full price. I spoke to the staff on hotels.com and with the front desk clerk. The front desk clerk agreed to waive any cancellation charge and I was allowed to rebook paying the higher price (the correct price) thanks to the front desk clerk. He was really helpful and understanding. The hotel was typical Ibis and it's a style that I like, offers everything I need, wifi worked well, I was able to get a good night's sleep and get to the border crossing the next morning for just 70 pesos in an uber. I'd be happy to stay here again if in Tijuana.

Front desk need training in how to deal with the hotel business

The hotel was just as described physically. The small room suited my purpose. There was no shampoo in the shower so I used my own. The maids were good and as far as my experience, were good representatives of this hotel. The morning breakfast staff were also good. Food in abundance. The front desk people however really need some training! They weren't able to tell me of a good place to eat and how to get there on foot or give me any directions from A to B or tell me that the Cultural Centre was just behind the hotel, etc. Taco Franco just across the street and they weren't able to tell me that? My Spanish is pretty good. Their English was minimal. Any question was a bother to them. They should not be in the hotel business. They need training. It's a hotel. Travelers ask questions and for recommendations, directions. That's their job. Next time I'm there I will stay elsewhere.

We were very surprised at the friendly staff & the cleanliness of the entire hotel. The restaurant has amazing food & a wonderful breakfast buffet. Better than any I've ever seen in the US. Everyone was so accommodating regardless of a bit of language barrier. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side yet very clean. Bottled water in the rooms. They have a nice relaxing lobby. When you come be sure to stop & say hi to Isaac, their sales mgr. Such a pleasant young man. Fun to visit with😊 We definitely will be back. We definitely give a Big 5✨

Hotel was surprisingly very nice & definitely very clean! Isaac the Sales Manager was an absolute delight & very accommodating to our needs. Will absolutely visit this franchise/hotel again! The bar & staff where welcoming & helpful! This hotel was definitely more modern than hotels in the United States!

Not happy Campers at this hotel

We stay at this hotel last night 1/21/2023- Thinking because it’s some what new we should not have any problems. We(me & my husband) are sick with a cold/flu and we’re just needed a place to have a good night rest. Theses rooms do not have heating only air conditioning. We both froze and didn’t even sleep- I did get an extra blanket sent up- but that was not enough. We were gone by 8am. I did call front desk and ask to help set heating in room and that’s when front desk said- NO heat in any rooms. I really wish they would have told us this at check in. As I called to check out, I told front desk, we were not happy at all and feeling even worse than yesterday. She apologized.- asked if we would like free breakfast, but we were so sick we just got our things and left
