Be aware ! hotel fees scam I stayed at the hotel for my son’s birthday and at the end , the front desk has left a Sour-taste in my mouth . They charged my credit card 250$ and they confirmed that they will refund me 200$ since the valet will be 50$. But when I checked out the front desk told me we will only refund you 165$ and that's because of the hotel fees of 34$. I told her I have already paid that in my reservation she then told me that’s what everybody thinks but we charge them all 34$ at the check out! I also told her when I checked in they confirmed they will refund me 200$ why would you say that if it’s not true? After 30min of arguing with her , with the help of the manager and the proof of my reservation they ended up attempting to refund me 200$ but on top of it all their credit card technology is not up to date so they could only refund me on my debit . Always be aware at the checkout !

Pros : the hotel is in a good location , beautifully hdecorated for the christmass season. Clean and cozy ! Cons : the pool was underwelming . Benjamin and the front desk was great ! The concierge team was not very welcoming tips : if you are going for winter make sure theres enough snow for activities and time your travel when the markets are open

Our stay at Chateau Frontenac was perfect. We had a lovely corner room with stunning views of the St. Lawrence River and Old Towne. The service was impeccable. Everyone was so very nice and accommodating. We loved the location to shopping and restaurants. We will be back!

My wife was very excited to book this hotel despite it being more expensive than several other comparable options. Our compromise was to stay half the trip here and half the trip at the Auberge Saint-Aintoine. We both agreed that the Auberge Saint Antoine was significantly better (and at half the cost!) in all aspects. The rooms at the Frontenac are cramped, dusty, and outdated. There were furniture markings on the wall and the bed was an average spring mattress. Service was okay, hovering on average. So, very disappointing to pay 5-star price for essentially a common Hyatt or Hilton stay.

Le Château Frontenac was something I had heard about and was curious to see, in addition to wanting to go to the Christmas Markets in Quebec. I thought it was a once in a lifetime experience so decided to book my stay there. It was a true fairytale trip. The Château is absolutely stunning; the staff is charming, always helpful and courteous, and; the location is perfect. In addition, there are many amenities at the hotel, such as guided tours, a pool, spa and salon. As if that isn’t enough, the restaurants have amazing food at reasonable prices for such a lovely venue, some with beautiful views. As I left, my thoughts were visions of a perfect Christmas, and despite the fact that I had only planned a one time trip, I would easily come back again.
