Ideally located, a 15mn walk to the Medieval city and 30mns to Pont Vieux Very quiet location in a suburban area. Well presented hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, English is spoken. Room was adequately furnished but no tea making facilities (there was free tea and coffee in the lounge - milk on request). Our room (an upgrade?) had a view of the swimming pool and battlements. Has a small bar, and on site restaurant. Two or three course daily menu which was tasty and wholesome. Breakfast was a standard continental cold buffet style with boiled eggs and toast. There is a pharmacy next door and a Lidl about 15mn walk away.

Arrived to be greeted by friendly professional staff at check in, given keys to our room, told everything we needed to know about the hotel facilities. Our room 229, looked out to the building opposite ( not the worst view we’ve had), room was adequate for our needs, comfortable bed, enough storage for a short stay, clean and tidy. Smallish bathroom, good shower plenty of hot water and water pressure, good to have a shelf in the bathroom to put your things on. No tea/coffee tray in the room. Breakfast room was large enough but soon filled up at certain times due to number of guests. Good selection of food available, replenished quickly, orange juice machine kept getting jammed, but other juices available, good coffee. There’s a drink station just inside reception with free tea coffee and water plus sugar but strangely no milk when we asked at reception we were told we could buy milk for 50cents at the bar. Hotel is well situated for the medieval city around a 10 minute walk mainly uphill but not too tiring, the new city is around 20 minutes away plenty of bars ,restaurants and shops. Train station about 30 minutes walk away, buses do pass the hotel to the city/ train station. Plenty of things to see and do in Carcassonne. Would return to this hotel.

A great location close to the Castle. I went with a friend & felt completely safe walking around in an evening. We had a Castle view room, overlooking the pool. On departure Gail on reception was an amazing help as our airline had made changes.

Stayed here on a group trip. Best parts- close to the fortress ( 15 minute walk) and breakfast. I would not consider this a 4 star hotel. Three is all it gets. The a/c is regulated and gets very warm at night -25 degrees Celsius. The rooms were cute and small, but not very clean. The shower had mold smell and showed it in between the tiles and was impossible to use without getting the entire floor wet. No tissues or cups in the rooms. Very nice lobby with games to play and a nice bar area as well.

Our establishment is actually classified 3* and not 4. Since January 1, 2007, article R.241-30 of the French Energy Code specifies that in premises in which a cooling system (i.e. air conditioning) is installed, it must not be put or maintained in operation only when the interior temperature of the premises exceeds 26°C. However, we have chosen to give our guests the possibility of individually reducing the temperature of their room to 22°C. The Accor Group is committed to reducing its energy consumption and preserving resources in all hotels around the world. Current measures are therefore correlated with the Group's Sustainable Development ambition and strategy. “Every gesture counts” and we thank you for having contributed, through your reasonable use, to the preservation of our resources as well as our planet. Although our rooms are not individually equipped with a courtesy tray, you have a convivial space in the lobby available 24/7 with unlimited tea and coffee, as well as a filtered water fountain. We regret that the cleanliness of your room did not fully meet your expectations, despite all the care that our teams take in preparing each of our rooms. Our teams are available 24/7, do not hesitate to contact them so that we can provide you with a solution to the problem encountered during your stay

Fabulous 4 night stay here. The ibis styles is only a 5 min walk from the medieval Cité. Tucked away in a quiet street. The breakfast was superb and constantly being restocked. The bed was super comfortable. There are so many little extras at this hotel that we kept finding. We would definitely stay here again if in Carcassonne.
