Been there for 1 night, We came by car Jerome receive us and take care us up to the room, jerome was best welcome I never have perfect English speaking , nice and use time in car for explain us history of the city. Hôtel is berry charming and was exceptional stay. Only negative poky I will have it’s missing some support on evening with big ache head ! I think will be great they help me to call or suggest me a pharmacy (pharmacist day after told me easy to call him for come pick up médecine ! Any way I will come back!

I would like to first acknowledge the truly amazing staff. In advance of our visit, Edwige was exceptionally professional, clear, and friendly with all communications. This certainly set the scene for how wonderful this team operates. The welcome we received at the hotel was extremely warm and inviting. I would like to call out Sarah for being very helpful, informative, and friendly at reception. On return to Ireland, our seven-year-old son unfortunately had lost his teddy bear at the airport, which was purchased at the Carcassonne castle. My son was naturally quite upset. After an extensive search of the airport the bear could not be found. I called the hotel looking for support to obtain a replacement bear. Mathilde arranged a replacement bear to be sent to our home. Mathilde went above and beyond even after we checked out of the hotel and returned to Ireland. The bear arrived and my son is super happy so thank very much once again. This is genuine sincere kindness in action! Regarding the hotel itself, what a hotel, packed full of character. I hope the hotel keeps this character inside and out. We stayed there with our two boys, ten and seven. Our room was wonderful, with a lovely balcony overlooking a small garden to walk around. The location is perfect, and the views are simply magnificent from the hotel. The outdoor pool is perfect and a nice way to cool down after a hot day. I would highly recommend this hotel.

this hotel is without a doubt the best in the region and within the MGallery collection. The teams are very friendly, you feel like a king! on top of that it is beautiful and unique. The general manager takes really good care of the hotel and his guests! I will be back very soon!

Booked a business trip with a group of high value clients to coincide with tour de france. I've invested heavily in this bringing clients from around the world at my expense. All booked, all good, then the hotel de la Cité phoned months after confirming my booking to cancel all the bookings I had made and my reservation for 10 to their mi helin star restaurant. No excuse, they let the whole hotel to someone else. What the hell is going on at this place?
Good location, but terrible maintenance. Not a luxury hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during a family trip to Carcassonne in June 2022. We rented two rooms. One was a standard room and the other was their top-of-the line suite with terrace. Carcassonne itself was fabulous and the hotel location is ideal. Sadly, the hotel itself was not. The rooms were small, and, worse, horribly maintained. The beds were old and bent like potato chips. Really uncomfortable. Various things did not work: soap in the shower, doors that had to be slammed to close, phones that were missing parts! Worn out carpets, rooms that need paint, low quality sheets. The list goes on. Another problem was the breakfast service. One day we went to the Buffett, the other day we had it delivered on the terrace. In both cases the food was shockingly bad for France. For example: stale croissants. I mean they might have been 2 days old. In general not good food. On the plus side: the service in the hotel was mostly good and friendly. The public areas of the hotel look nice. The location is great. We ate one night at La Barbacane, the Michelin star restaurant associated with the hotel, and that food was excellent (which makes the problems with breakfast all the more surprising). In summary: this hotel simply needs some investment. In the meantime I recommend considering other places. It is charging luxury prices but it is not acting as a luxury hotel.
